Join the new world

I'm excited to be running for senate in NSW. Here's a little bit about myself and the convictions that I will bring to senate.

My experience

I am currently Minister of Health, having served in the last cabinet as Secretary of Health.
I have also served as Party President of the Australian Communist Party, and have been a senior member of that party for as long as I care to remember.
Together with my commie colleagues I've help to run a commune system that currently comprises 5 companies and have helped dozens of new citizens to learn the ropes and get more involved in the game.
I've also had a fairly extensive military career having progressed through AAR and ACUK, and am currently a proud member of Dropbears Alpha squad.

I'm a very active member of the eAustralian community, and a proud and passionate eAustralian. I will be involved in senate debates, will represent my constituents and will always do my best to serve the people.

Though I'm a long-term active member of the ACP, it has taken a while for me to get involved in politics, and I have never run for senate in the past. I do hope that the people of NSW agree that I will represent you fairly and with conviction.

A little about my principles

A senator can only do so much, so rather than drag out a list of policies I'd like to tell you what I believe in.

- Government can do more to help the economy: There's no doubt in my mind that eAustralia has taken a right turn lately. It's all hands off and let the market do it's job. Well I don't completely agree with that, I believe that government has a role to play in directing and supporting the economic development of this great country. I believe in a strong industry policy, targeting growth areas and helping our citizens as well as our company owners to do their bit to grow this country. As a senator I will be voting on matters of tax policy and budget, and I will support practical initiatives that will grow the economy and benefit our community rather than blindly voting for the prevailing economic ideology of the time.

Government can do more to promote a healthy society: Well, as 2 times minister responsible for health in the cabinet I would say that, wouldn't I? But it's true! The end of the hospital exploit, and the looming implementation of v2 (along with the demise of gifting) will mean a massive focus on improving health and wellness will be essential to the growth of our country. This is my policy 'sweet spot' and I will do everything I can to promote a healthy eAustralia.

We can all do more to grow this country: Every one of us can contribute to a better eAustralia. I believe in a system where everyone who wants to be involved in building this country can have that opportunity. Equality and opportunity for all, from the newest citizen to the experienced old hand. I'm all for smashing the glass ceiling.

As a committed member of the ACP, I am a strong believer in the ACP Manifesto. The ACP presents a powerful vision for the future, a future that I want to be a part of.
