Campaign Roundup: A Thank You

Well, as you can see, this September CP Campaign season has come to a close. Wally Cleaver has officially been voted as our CP for this month. Congrats to him! I hope that he is able to lead this country in the right direction, leaving Canada better than when he takes office today.
To all those who supported me, I would just like to say thank you! I came into this election relatively unknown, outside of the CPF. However this campaign has put me and my ideas into a more prominent spot on the national stage. Many people had written me off when I started. They assumed I was just some unknown guy who had no chance of winning. Sure, I was out of the contention by 50 votes, however my campaign had a large impact on the election. I got messages from people in Clan Wolf, as well as independent citizens who voted for me because they believed in what I stood for. They looked past party lines and saw the potential in my ideas. In the end, these votes had a huge impact on the election. I was able to play the role of spoiler in this election, prying away votes from the hands of the top two candidates. As things were tied down the stretch, votes still continued to trickle in for me. It was nice to see people's support continue to come in all night.
I am glad to have come as far as I have, being able to stick to my platform and not running a negative campaign. For now, I'll have plenty to do. This election has shown how far a candidate with only some ideas to back him, can truly go. I look forward to the possibility of doing it all again next month. Perhaps with some name recognition, I can go farther and have a more legitimate shot at winning. For now, I am looking ahead to the possibility of being the CPF PP as well as the responsibilities that accompany it, and continuing to expand on the 7 tenets of our party.
Congrats to Wally, may he serve eCanada well! Here's to a prosperous Canadian month. May we improve at home and become more respectable and reliable abroad.

I get the feeling I might run next time. I had a lot of fun and I'm really enjoying the political side of the game.
Yeah, next time I probably will go a little more on attack. It certainly does increase the entertainment factor! It will also help me to differentiate myself more from the competition. However, I just have to make sure I fact check and get everything right. I hate when people make grand sweeping statements with no basis in fact.
I can do the attacking. I'm bored.
Considering you are a relative newcomer to the political scene, I think you did quite well. I look forward to seeing how you progress in the coming weeks. o7

Pato, you have proven yourself an intelligent and worthy candidate for election, you're goals and methods were made clear, and on their own merit were proven to be well thought out. All goes well and you'll certainly have my vote next election.
