As AMP's Media Director, I was tasked with interviewing our prospective Country President candidates. I will warn you now that this article looks sorta long... it's answers from three people on fifteen questions. Yes, that's a lot. Is it worth a read?

Yes. Because I ask the important questions. How do they feel about AMP? Which actor was their favorite incarnation of The Doctor? How do they feel about 10/10 bonuses? Do they think saraht0ga is cute?

So, please, take the time to read this, and let the humor and ideas help you decide who to vote for in your party's primary.



Question 1: What is your favorite color?
Artela: Purple
Dr Luis Sentieiro: Dark Blue for sure.
Tenshibo: My favorite color is ice-blue.

Question 2: Which would you rather fight: one horse-sized RGR, or one hundred duck-sized RGRs?
Artela: One horse-sized RGR - easy to spot, easier to stop
DLS: I can barely stand one RGR much less one hundred duck sized ones. I'll stick with one horse-sized RGR, after all he'll be just one so assuming I can defeat him, it should be done for good. xD
Tenshibo: The duck ones, so each time they hit me I could go, "What the duck?"

Question 3: How will you make the eUSA a better country?
Artela: eUSA is already pretty awesome; Why else do you think I decided to make it my home? Yes, we need to work at making it even more awesome by continuing the great work already done the last couple of terms with the Interior and Education Department programs, which is why I’ve kept the team that are doing such a great job there. Furthermore, we need to try returning to full weapons bonuses.
DLS: By giving us a good structure and organization and by working with the community I love.
Tenshibo:By adding the "Swag for the Swagless" program to the DoI. Swag will be provided for swagless swines, such as RGR and his cronies. Seriously though, as I touched upon in my announcement article, I plan on exploring bonus-increasment options. This will help take expenses off our MUs operating costs, which will greatly help our country. Furthermore, I plan on exploring the new opportunities created by Romania leaving EDEN, which, if it goes as planned, will help our country by more unified on the battle front.

Question 4: What about you makes you qualified for the position of CP?
Artela: I have experience in many spheres of eRepublik, including the Warfare module and the meta-game diplomacy and alliances, all at national government and alliance HQ levels.
DLS: I'm an experienced person, i've been in pretty much all government departments which makes me qualified both in domestic and foreign affairs. Also I'm a reasonable person and I will listen to the people.
Tenshibo: My aforementioned swag. On a serious note, I'd say it is my high level of involvement in CoT. While all 3 of us candidates have FA experience, and on some level have been involved in CoT, only I have been involved in the day-to-day operations, worked with a truly endless list of CoT CPs, officials, and their countries' cabinet people. So, I have acquried an extensive list of key people in our alliance, which is important for ensuring that we have a good stance in CoT, which is important as we move forward.

Question 5: Is it just me, or is saraht0ga looking really cute today?
Artela: It’s not just you, saraht0ga is looking really cute
DLS: She's always cute 😁
Tenshibo: Of course you are. Hmu later 😉

Question 6: Vanek has had us in two different training wars during his terms. Do you plan to pursue more training wars, or do you have ideas in mind for a legitimate war?
Artela: That will depend on what we need to do to get to those bonuses, and on whether WW VI breaks out - if we can get the bonuses through negotiation then we’ll go for that, otherwise expect us to go after them anyway as long as it doesn’t screw with the alliance’s plans for things.
DLS: I plan to have more training wars in case TWO doesn't attack us, but since everyone knows we will likely get targeted by Romania with TWO support, we might actually have legitimate wars soon.
Tenshibo: I'll certainly pursue Training Wars if the opportunities present themselves, however, we must be careful. With TWO gaining Romania, and possibly other countries, the balance of power is changing. An invasion is on the horizon, and if we're in a Training War when it happens, we'll be caught with our pants down, and be at a disadvantage.

Question 7: How do you feel about the general consensus that World War VI is upon us? If you agree that it is, why will you be the best candidate to handle it if it begins during your term?
Artela: I agree we are on the brink, waiting to see who sneezes first. If it happens then I am the candidate with the most all-out warfare experience that is running, having been involved in previous world wars at national and alliance levels.
DLS: I feel exactly the same, if I feel that as soon as EDEN breaks down,probably even before, we will have war with TWO. In case this happens I believe I have a very good group of strategists who can help planning a defensive/counter-attack strategy. Also, I have foreign connections as well I can use to call allies to help us and coordinate with CoT. I believe this two factors are vital to succeed and win the war if we go down that road.
Tenshibo: I feel WW6 is coming. It's summer, so everyone is active and wants to do something, the power is shifting, etc. All the signs are there. Something just needs to kick it off. (Call Nostradamus so we have an idea of what 😛) I feel I'm the best candidate to handle it if it begins because in my time, I've been greatly involved in battle tactics and implementation, so that I've acquired a large knowledge of the it. Also... I have Vanek on speed dial if I need help 😛

Question 8: How do you feel about the AMP? Since we are a military-based party, how will your potential presidency benefit the eUS MUs?
Artela: I think all four of the top parties that aren’t AFA are fine parties in their own ways and I bear none of them any animosity. If we can get the full weapons bonuses that will benefit all communing MUs more than just about anything else. I also want to have NE’s as much as we can.
DLS: We will keep a close eye on the MUs, we will try to boost recruitment and we will run audits to know where the money should be spent and allocate better our expenses, furthermore, we will ask our COs to evaluate the officers and weed out the ones found incompetent. This is important because an MU is only functional as long as it's CO and its officers are competent.
Tenshibo: AMP is pretty cool. Some of my favorite people are in AMP, like Israel Stevens for instance. And, you guys have some other cool people like John Largo, DLS (who is only cool after these elections, until then HE'S THE ENEMY!!! 😛), and of course, you 😉. My presidency will benefit the eUS because as we pursue new bonus plans, as they come to fruition, it will lower the operation costs of our MUs, which everyone can agree is a huge thing.

Question 9: What's your favorite bit of lyrics from a song?
Artela: How I wish, how I wish you were here. / We're just two lost souls / Swimming in a fish bowl, / Year after year...
DLS: This one is hard.. too many but lately I would say this bit:

Tenshibo: I listen to like... hardcore ghetto stomp you in the nuts rap, so I can't quote my true favorite lyrics, but my favorite FP friendly song quote is: "Yeah, photo shoot fresh, lookin like wealth
I'm 'bout to call the paparazzi on myself" from Otis by Kanye West and Jay-Z. It describes mah life yo. Swag.

Question 10: What is your opinion on the restoration of 10/10 bonuses? I ask because the idea was thrown around of restoring it during the gold mine.
Artela: I would like to see us with 100% on weapons bonuses. We would need to keep a careful eye on how it affected the PTO/ATO situation though.
DLS: If we go back to full bonuses, I am for it as a temporary measure to help the MUs, other than that we shall not go down that road as a permanent measure until we are in a safe zone regarding our internal PTO.
Tenshibo: I for one think it's time to pursue it. Unlike last year when we had 10/10, it won't be as easy. But, the pursuit of 10/10 leads to 8/7, 9/8, etc. The pursuit in itself will provide its own rewards, which will benefit the country, even if the end result isn't 10/10.

Question 11: Who's your favorite actor who's played the Doctor?
Artela: I loved Tom Baker as the doctor for the ‘old school’ Doctor Who’s. For the ‘new school’ stuff, Matt Smith is my favorite.
DLS: I'm going with the Tenth doctor, or if you prefer: David Tennant.
Tenshibo: This is one thing I hate to admit... but I haven't found the time to watch Doctor Who yet. Last summer I was too busy w/ eRep, then school started so I was busy acting, doing a comedy routine, and then acting again, and in decemember when my life got free again, I went back to going HAM at eRep. I've already arranged to marathon Doctor Who in the summer though, so I'll get back to you... another time perhaps. (that's almost a time pun.)

Question 12: If you are elected, what would you say is the one main goal you'd like to accomplish, and how do you plan to accomplish it?
Artela: My main goal for the coming term is to get us back to the full weapons bonus, and we all know how that gets accomplished from my other answers. Additionally I want every department to take in at least one person who has not been in a cabinet job in the past as a deputy - we need to expand the talent pool for future cabinets
DLS: I'd like to see more national union, as I mentioned in an article, we shouldn't be united just for elections, we need to be a country working for the same objective, furthermore I'd like to give hell to TWO as well. If those 2 things happen, then I can say I'd leave office happy.
Tenshibo: I want to bring some of the EDEN countries onto our side for the ensuing CoT v.s. TWO war (WW6). This is key to not only our survival as an alliance, but our dominance.

Question 13: Do you like tomatoes? I hate tomatoes.
Artela: Sorry Sarah - I love tomatoes!
DLS: Not really the kind of vegetable I appreciate yes.
Tenshibo: Let me put it like this: I work as a dishwasher. Tomatoes make ketchup. In my restaurant, ketchup is put on several things, and then, gets everywhere. It's all over the plates, gets on the spray nozzle, get on my clothes, hands, hair, in my cuts, on my phone, it smells bad, tastes bad, and has a terrible texture. Do you think I like tomatoes?

Question 14: If I were a completely new player, what would you say if I asked why I should vote for you?
Artela: My administration will make sure as far as possible that the education and support that you need as a new player continues to be available to you. There will be regular updates on what is going on, and we will try to take “temperature readings” of what you, the eAmerican people, are feeling about various subjects. We will also try to give you as much war as we can.
DLS: If you were a new player, I'd explain first the country situation in all aspects and after that, I'd explain you what I plan to do. I'd also tell you I'm a very experienced player and a reasonable person who will listen to the people as reasons why you should vote for me.
Tenshibo: I would say not to listen to me. I'd be in a position to manipulate a newb, and that's not how I roll. I'd advise them to talk to people they trust, read articles, and, make a judgement call.

Question 15: Targaryens, Lannisters, or Starks?
Artela: Targaryens - Dragons are Cool!
DLS: Hard between the targaryens and the starks, but I'll go with the starks because of their honor.
Tenshibo: I'm reading the books, not watching the show. And, I'm only on book 2 atm, so as of right now, Starks.
