The attack is lead by the joint forces of the eUS and eSweden, backed up by PACIFICA.

The offence should end with eSweden capturing the eIndonesian region - Java.

Any resistance wars organized within the occupied eIndonesian regions must be won by the eUS, until further notice.

- We start with our top story: The attack on Gnilraps' estate.

Last night a well renowned quality food activist, calling himself Herr Vootsman was caught attacking Gnilrap's estate in the outskirts of Santa Fe. Herr Vootsman was throwing Q1 Bread at the bulletproof windows of the renowned businessman's mansion. The motivation of Herr Vootsman remains unclear. He is taken for questioning in the local PD.
Gnilraps abstains from commenting the case. A member of his inner retinue informed us that Gnilraps haven't been exposed to so much Q1 Bread, since 2009.

- Yes Rainy, I imagine the shock. And we continue with news, concerning another legendary member of the eUS - Pfeiffer.

Recent polls show that his approval ratings are skyrocketing, reaching 89% in certain states. Experts say that this amazing change of hearts is due to Pfeiffer's distinct lack of public appearance in the recent months. So I guess not speaking has its perks.


- Indeed, Feynmann. Not speaking is amazing! Which brings us to our next topic.

Yui, the star actor, of so many global reality shows, like Pacifica and eRep Discord, is going to be the new face, or should we say the hair, of Eraclev's new line of hair care products. He has signed a 1 year exclusive contract with the Norwegian entrepreneur. The first shoots are about to start on the golden beaches of the Indonesian Maluku islands.


- Yes, Rainy, the vikings do enjoy a fair hair. Speaking of fair hair the Queen of the eUS, Melissa Rose, has been in trouble these days.

Obviously the eUS anti-obesity society is filing a lawsuit against her. The leader of the eUSAOS, Chicken Nuggets, comments that the increased rations of the American Air Rank Program (AARP) are providing too much calories for the american citizens in contrast to their daily physical activities.

The distinguished judge, Wiggy Mc'Hammer, commented before a Real News reporter, that Melissa might be forced, by the Supreme Court, to implement a new physical activities program legislation for the eUS community.

Physical activity is good.

- So good, Feynmann, so good.

And now we move on to our top story of the cultural life of the eUS.

The painting "Bacon pizza on the beach", authored by the renowned eUS artist Waruda, was sold for 10kk USD on an auction two days ago. After the auction Waruda resumed his inspirational Kenjutsu training, in his private dojo, when he accidentally cut off his left ear. He is currently feeling well, but the effects of the loss of an ear, on his work are still unknown.

Let's just hope he will be ok. He is so talented.

And we finish tonight's edition of This Week's Real News with a picture of one of the rarest birds in the eWorld - eBarn Owl.




The Owl has been spotted lurking within the White House attics. Some DIO priests claim that this is a sign, marking the return of a particular eUS king.

But the Real News ornithologist - Birdy Eagleface, says it probably came in the vicinity of the White House, because the mouse population in the area is growing, due to the massive food supplies for the AARP.

Whether the DIO priests or our renowned ornithologist are right remains to be seen.

- American Air Rank Program (AARP)

Nearing the end its second term the AARP is helping the eUS citizens to increase their air rank, by providing them with 2000 energy worth of food.

The participants only need to do 2 simple tasks a day to earn that foo😛

- Score at least 20 air round battle kills in any campaign that day.

I can hardly believe that there is a single eUS citizen who has not heard of her or communicated with her during his/her in-game time, so I will spare you the introduction and let her speak for herself.

- How did you start playing the game

I joined 04 June 2009 by direct referral from a friend. I met him playing other games and we were both complete n00bs starting erep. Neither had any insight of the depth of meta surrounding erep and little interest in engaging the greater community socially. Initially I meant to be his mule and help by working in his company and studying the economic module to assist him achieve his economic goals. He left the game several weeks later for *real life* USMC Boot Camp. I was not impressed with the tone or demeanor the eUSA Government or Military members took with common citizens in the media or random mailings at that time and The Game is really not a game to play alone. I tried to enlist in the military, was given a dead end link, and yelled at for breaking Chain of Command when I naively reached out to a higher ranking "officer". I decided that was not the promised fun I was advertised. I narrowed my options to 1) quit 2) travel the eWorld. I chose to travel and consume international media. It was a good choice.





- A good movie or a good book?

I really don't watch many movies. An older one that stands out, The Shawshank Redemption. A new one I recently watched and enjoyed is Wilson with Woody Harrelson.
I'm currently revisiting a childhood favorite book with my own offspring, Watership Down.




- Would you recommend a book/movie/both, you enjoyed, to our readers?

- You know the game since its early years. What was your favorite feature back then?


My favorite feature then remains my favorite, I most enjoy media. Other features I most regret were removed altogether were specialized (work) skill , the old system of companies and region productivity, and national currencies exchange in monetary market. Basically the economy before it was overhauled for v2 or Rising.





-What was your least favorite feature?


Donations were a nightmare. It was a single item drag and drop system and only allowed you to donate up to 10 items per donation. Players had great fun food-bombing heavy-hitting tanks with Q1 breads and maxing their inventories but it was terrible as a QM for military groups or government workers distributing daily supplies.





- Is there any aspect of the game that you think has greatly improved since the old days?

The media module has had ups and downs. Overall, I think it's improved although there are things that could still be improved. Media Mogul medal should be scaled back to something more attainable for the size of the active player base. Plug for restoring Citizen Ads goes here. I do very much like the addition of youtube embed though I know that's pretty fringe.




- You were recently selected as a Plato Foundation board member. Do you think the Plato Foundation will provide enough push towards a more active eRep community?


No, I think it's a kind and generous gesture and a step in a positive direction. I think if the program effort can be maintained and coupled with mechanical improvements to restore/create some of the purpose/strategy/challenge/fun so many older players lament, that would be super cool. ^__^



- Any side activities you enjoy doing, while you are in the eRep Zone?


Listening to music. Laughing at my own jokes.




- You are the High Priestess of DIO in the eUS. When was the first time you encountered DIO?


I began my elife in the uncivilized wilderness of Oregon. After my rough start in USA, I chose to move to Asturias, Spain to build my first iron company. It was there I discovered scraps of Dioist texts. I later moved to South Africa, South Korea, and then on to Japan where I met whac, Geno Garon, and Agent Chieftain. Each taught me a great deal about The Game and Dioism.



- What makes DIO-ism so widespread within the eRep community?



In my view, Dio Brando and the founders of Dioism had it right. While many players object to the concept of religion in game, Dioism was far enough removed from reality it *should* not be confused or offensive to most sensibilities, focused on having fun with a purpose, and an inclusive movement that crossed party lines, national borders, and even alliances.

Dio Brando and /v/akistan won The War before it started. This statement is both figuratively and literally TRU.

Wigs prematurely announced the War Module thinking no one would raise adequate funds to declare before the feature went live. Dio Brando gathered the funds and declared war. There was not yet a functioning war module.

There is a colorful and rich history of Dioism woven throughout eRepublik and reaches far beyond that many citizens may not be interested in revisiting in depth or detail, but ..."History is a guide to navigation in perilous times. History is who we are and why we are the way we are."

- You are one of the iconic faces of the eUS community. What do you think makes you so well known?


I shout a lot? I tend to be obnoxious. I have the most fun when you are. I love Dio. A lot. Like really a lot. Dio loves you.




- Do you enjoy writing (the media module) and if so what is your favorite topic to write about?


I don't dislike writing but I prefer reading what others have written. I would enjoy writing more if my own time permitted it, if the game environment was less toxic, if I felt I had something more to offer my readers. Excuses, right? My muse checked out a while ago. I'm working on it.



- Where do you like to take a time off the game?



I'm an explorer and archaeologist. I never really know what I'll find or where I'll find it. The depths of Youtube are one my favorites digs. I've been known to randomly fall down a Minecraft shaft for days. I practice meditation there. /v/ Random




- It is probably hard, but pick up 3 things, that if implemented, will make the game much better and interesting for old and new players alike.


Hm.

I would like to see CO setting capability expanded within military units to allow 2nd Commanders and Captains to be given those privileges by the Unit Commander. I think that idea would only benefit the game and encourage teamplay.

I wouldn't mind seeing citizen ads brought back in some fashion. I am aware of the abuses that caused the feature to be removed but I believe the cons to be minimal compared to the fun and functional purpose ads offered players.

I would like to see features that have been announced and partially introduced either be completed or formally addressed and misleading 'teasers' removed from the game. If perception training or city governments will not be introduced after all, fix the misleading information. If they will, let citizens have some idea of an expected timeline. A great deal of player frustration and criticism could be abated if clearer expectations were broadcast.




- Do you enjoy music? If yes would you share a piece of your favorite music with us?









- Again, probably a hard one, but if you had to pick one player to be your all time best mate, who would that be? Why?


I cannot. I've hung around too long to narrow it to one player. I count myself lucky to have worked for and alongside some of the Greatest.



- After all these years playing eRepublik what makes you keep logging in?


I genuinely like The Game and The Community. Yes, I'm an eccentric. I won't entertain the mechanics v. community debate, it requires both.




Anything you want to say to the other eRepublik players - old and new alike? A sort of message from rainy sunday.
