Congress Thank You

UKRP and myself had a target - UKRP’rs in congress this month. It was a lofty ambition for the party that had recently returned to the top 5.



Together as a party, we rallied the troops and pushed to get every vote. We took on a party outside of the top 10, who has some cracking players and put one of them into a deserved congress spot. We, United Kingdom Reform Party, stated that we are back.

We stand for true debate - Talking over things in a logical manner and coming to a sensible conclusion.

We stand for community - with our IRC and forums exploding with activity. We even have regular skype calls and game nights.

We stand for the eUK above all else - Above party politics. Above personal ambition. Above clever slogans, catchy words or fancy toys.

We stand up - for you.

On election night we hosted our first quiz in an effort to get the eUK community together on a night which can sometimes prove quite decisive!

Thanks to everyone who turned up! Prizes have been sent to the winners and another community thing will be happening soon - so watch this space!







Party Analysis - Where does UKRP go from here

At the start of my term I gave you these targets:
- Increased membership (Total) – 130+
- Congress seats – 4 (5 with space for 1 small party to run under us)
- Increased UKRP communication
- Training and development plans for party, congress and cabinet roles
- Cross-party Communications

So its time for a brief update.

Membership
Target: 130 - Current: 106

Clearly there is still work to be done here. Our members however are active and motivated (see congress elections!) and will continue to be so. I hope to see this number go up and hit the target before my term ends. The recruitment team is gearing up and still firing out messages and help - and more weapons to our particular arsenal come in the form of knowledge transfers, which I will discuss later.

Congress
Target: 4 UKRP and 1 seat for a small party

Increased UKRP communication
Target: MOAR Current: PMs/Articles/IRC/Skype/XBOX/Supremecy/Forums/Podcasts/Smoke Signals

You wanted it and now you’ve got it. Cyg is continuing with his excellent series of interviews along with a couple of others. Your PP updates are coming out whenever something interesting happens along with additional updates. Announcement PM’s are working and are close to every other day/every day when needed. Forums are awesome! Skype is going.

We talk and communicate. A lot. Seriously.

Training Plans
Target: Get it off the ground Current: Congress done, Others to be released soon

Congress accreditation course is done. Others are being made up just now. Next series will be on cabinet positions so people who want to learn more or are looking to get into cabinet pay attention: Adding this course will stand you in good stead and will allow you to see in advance what will be expected of you (typically) and if the job fits you.

This is a major part of UKRP’s core values - that we educate and get our members involved. We give our members the opportunities to take on real responsibility but at the same time providing the support that has been so desperately lacking.

We are the party of the new and the older player.
The people that want to play the game to the best of their ability.

Come along and learn (or teach!) and become a better player.

Educated and motivated players mean a better eUK.

Cross-Party Communications
Target: Get it off the ground Current: Not quite

There is a lot of stuff happening in the eUK political scene, and we’re all still trying to make sense of it. We’ve struck up a friendship with a number of parties and continued to maintain some others. We’ve had a quiz for the whole of the eUK with more events coming up soon. More to be done!





Community Outreach

With the last point in mind UKRP are looking to host a community debate and would now like to invite members of all parties and none to participate. Sign up by sending me a PM!

It’ll be on Saturday at 13:00 on #UKRP and a nice article will be posted. Topic will be released on the Thursday to participating teams! At the end the audience will take a vote and whichever team (for or against) gets the most votes wins and receives a small prize!
