Hello party member, and Swiss Citizens,

As you all know, a while back a whole lot of Swiss citizens, all members of the Swiss Pirate Party left their party and our country to move to Ireland after one of their members lost the elections. The Swiss Pirate Party was always controversial and divisive in Switzerland.

Because of their history and their divisiveness in our country I think with them leaving it would be good for the party to be rebranded and making a new start. We need to move forward and leave the past of Swiss Pirate Party behind. We need a new start. I did not make this decision on my own, although it was my idea it was decided in a discussion with all party members.

The name Swiss Freedom Party was coined by Rican, it is an ancient party name in Swiss politics that date back many years and has a long history that dates back to 2010 when it was founded by Wazamaza and led for most of it's existence by Paul Proteus. This party was founded in 2010 and was refounded already a couple of times and this is hopefully a good time to reestablish the party again.

I hope that with the rebranding of the party we can leave the past negativity about the party and it's members behind us and make a new start working together with all parties and with all e-Swiss to work together for Switzerland and leave the division that was in the past behind us.
