[SFP] December Party Update

Day 4,768, 17:47 Published in USA USA by Socialist Freedom Party

Was I planning to get this article out a week ago? Maybe. Did life take precedent this time? Absolutely.

Here is yet another rundown of all things SFP!

Survey Feedback

If you remember, the last SFP article mentioned a party-wide survey to really begin the discussion on where we see the party heading in the future. Very soon the Revolutionary Committee will be coming together to create a solid list of priorities and policy positions for SFP.

However, I would like to share a selection of responses that I received to my survey. Below are the questions I asked with one or two select answers that I found interesting and inspiring, along with some personal feedback from yours truly!

What do you want SFP to represent? Or, what role do you want SFP to play in eUSA politics?

One of my favorite things about SFP is how welcoming we are. I feel constantly supported by my party members and know I can always count on them for backup.

The most accurate answer I received.

How can I, and whoever takes over after my term, improve the party?

Really insightful response, I think reaching out internationally could be great for us!

One of my biggest regrets is that I wasn't a bigger presence in national politics the last month or so. I absolutely think there is a place for T5 party presidents at the national table.

What is SFP's biggest strength? Our biggest weakness?

Being welcoming to all is, and should remain, a priority for us. But it has absolutely hurt us in the past to give a home to those that would not respect it.

SFP is a creative bunch. I would love to spend a bit more time testing out some of those ideas once I'm back in the regular party/Rev Comm membership. Give me your ideas, people!!!

What do you want to see from eUSA in the coming months? What needs to change? What is working well?

This is something SFP can, and should, keep arguing for at the national level (in my opinion, of course!)

New blood is hard to come by in this game, so I would love to see it supported more on those rare occasions that it does turn up.

These are just a few answers I picked out, but I am very happy with the attention the survey got and I wish I had done it during my first term! Stay tuned for more information about SFP's future in the coming weeks.

This will likely be my last time publishing from the official SFP account, so I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank everyone for being so supportive of my first two terms (ever) as a Party President. I wouldn't have been able to hold down the fort without fantastic and active Revolutionary Committee and Congress teams both terms. I am going to pass a few project ideas I never got off the ground to our next Chair, and if they're so inclined I'll happily run them myself (time permitting).

Also, huge shoutout to the party leaders who reached out to form a working relationship early on. You know who you are, and you know I have a huge amount of respect for you.

Much love y'all,
