[SecDef] Freedom of Speech in the USAF

Today I had to Dishonorably Discharge a member of the USAF Air Force. He is a likable dude - heck I practically invited him to join Easy Company in his Discharge notice - so it wasn't a lot of fun.
The reason for his Discharge had to do with making political statements, particularly in the Military Unit Shout Feed and IRC Channel.
Membership in a branch of the USAF is a privilege. You are generally outfitted better than any soldiers in the eWorld.
But you also serve under a different Commander in Chief every 30 days.
So it is inevitable that you will, sooner or later, have to serve under a Commander in Chief which you dislike, disagree with, and/or want to see impeached.
When a soldier in a branch of the USAF finds himself in that circumstances, he is 100% free to vote for impeachment if he is in congress. He is 100% free to shout his negative opinions about the current PoTUS in his friends and/or Party shout feed. He is 100% free to criticize policies in the Forum and in any IRC channel other than those sponsored by his Government MU.
But what a soldier in the USAF cannot do is use his Branch shout feed and/or IRC channel to promote dissent against the current Military strategy as set forth by the Commander in Chief, the Secretary of Defense, and the Chairman of the National Security Council.
Today, a soldier did this... and not for the first time. The soldier who was Discharged today had been recently Discharged for doing the same thing, and had been reinstated by his CO (with my permission) because he had supposedly learned his lesson.
If he had learned his lesson he'd still be in the Air Force.
Today bummed me out. It bums me out to write this article. But it behooves all members of the USAF to understand this clearly (and Branch CO's would be wise to reiterate this to your membership at this time):
The Branch MU Shout Feed
and the Branch IRC Channel,
and the Branch Forum Boards
are NOT to be used for political announcements,
offers to purchase votes for candidature,
political dissent,
nor opinions concerning military strategy.
All of these fine conversational traditions must take place in any of the multiplicity of avenues for communication offered in the game and metagame. But they are not to appear in any of our Government sponsored Channels.
Better yet, there are many private Military Units you can join which have absolutely no moratorium on speech whatsoever. This makes eUSA a rich and diverse nation.
But if you belong to a USAF Branch, STFU and Fight.

you know i been offerd to join many non govt funded MU's . should i just leave the airforce MU, should i bow down to the man, or should i stand up for my right to speak and fight them for every inch. every single one of you pay for the govt funding for these govt MU's. should you say nothing, suck it up and say well gezz thats just the way it is. I got discharged for my political actions.
I was tanking against some Turkish ragheads, whom I din't saw as an allies.
But it really wasn't on me to judge it, so my discharge was legit as well.

Slyk Willy, there are plenty of MU's out there where you could voice these opinions, and no one would mind. But by joining USAF, and taking their supplies, you accept their rules. If you don't want to accept their rules, Then stop taking their supplies, and go elsewhere.
It's really that simple.
I will voice them in every govt MU now, i will be visiting all the govt MU's for the next few weeks to exercise my right to post political information in their MU feeds. If you , potus or anyone else has a problem with that, well you could guess what my response might be.

I think the president and SecDef are pissed because no one is listening to them when it comes to battling against the USA.....thats why we are keeping Mexico. Slyk Willy if you want supplies from The Man, then you have to follow his rules. Setting aside everything else, that's pretty basic stuff. In the USAF though, you have to bow down but you also have to take your turn holding a picture of Bradley Reala while Liquid Oxygen beats himself with a cane muttering, "I hate them. I hate them. Frankly, you're all idiots. I'll start with the bottom, work my way up.
@Fitisin: There was a time when I was in the eUS Mil that we had the exact same rules. Only difference? It applied to every channel and chat; leadership found out, you were getting canned. I hope that's not a rule anymore, I'd love a more open eUS Mil; that was the only thing I didn't like back then, it was stifling.

You're confusing spam with double posting; the latter is prevented by game mechanics, the former is not.
No, a one-off report isn't going to get you banned (or even a point). If a lot of members of the MU report you, however... and if this occurs in several MUs a day... and if every time it comes up, it's the same guy? The moderators are going to start giving you FPs. It takes time for FPs to expire, and you can be permabanned if you get too many (assuming you aren't a paying customer).
I'm just saying, there are battles to pick and then there are battles you avoid. Game mechanics won't save you on that one. Since you've found a new home, I'd just stick to that and try to build that up; save your strength from a laborious, and quite possibly fruitless task and put that energy into camaraderie you can enjoy.
