[QLS] The worst love story of our generation - Part 2

Day 2,204, 21:14 Published in Philippines Republic of China (Taiwan) by Analia Arnheim

I was debating with a friend whether I would try writing my failed love story with a girl we will hide in the code CM. That friend said I should try, since it is how I moved on in the past, but I am too shy to post it in a blog or in social media, so I decided to use media here in Erepublik, of which will serve as my sort of "test audience" on how people will respond (as comments or PM) to teenage love stories (Yes, I'm just turning 18, but my age had nothing to do with my administration skills). Besides, its been the holiday season.

Thanks for making this the top article in Philippine media for December 2, 2013. For that, I'd betray some photos now. 🙂

Class picture from 2nd year HS. CM is farthest right, on the second row from front. I'm 5th from right, on the last row from front. I don't wear glasses at the time. (Please do not misuse the image for bad intentions or purposes.)

2010 na, and I celebrated my birthday with a bang, literally, though she never greeted me in social media nor in SMS, making it the sad part of that day. (If you're my FB friend, you'd know why)

Her birthday was on January 22. And you know what? I forgot it. It was Friday, last day of classes every week. My friends, including my best friend we will hide in the code GS, were waiting what I will do for her birthday. But, the fact was I'm unprepared, and, school was almost over. It was already lunch but I had nothing but me, myself and my empty wallet.

Then, the extraordinary came. It was snack time, around 20-30 minutes, in the afternoon. I had a baon from Goldilocks. I thought, pwede na 'tong pambigay. But, I had to eat, and my friends were also asking for some of my baon. Let's just say it had been a class tradition to ask some of MY baon. Ako lang naman nagbibigay eh. Bait, di ba? In the end, my baon fell into our stomachs.

Where's the extraordinary here? One of my friends saw my 1/4 pad on my armchair. What they saw was a portrait of CM's face drawn by ME. I was working on it for a few days then, and actually its just me copying to paper her profile picture at the time, which I thought was really cute. One friend said, "Wow, pwede na yan. Kaya lang kailangan pa ng onting detail. Gusto mo tulungan na kita dyan?

I said yes.

He then asked, "Di ba may maliit na nunal siya sa mukha? Saan yun, sa kaliwa o kanan?"
Its hard to actually go to her just to see where that is. I just said, "Kanan yun."

Akalain niyo? Tama ako? I got it correct.

I thought, a drawing is not enough. But, snack time was almost over. I just rushed to the canteen, bought two bars of Goya, a local chocolate produced in a factory actually near her home. I think there's Goya also abroad, but the least I know, we have it here. I don't care about the details then. I just wrapped it in the Goldilocks plastic, which was all that's left from my baon. You know it, the plastic used to carry multiple Goldilocks products. It was blue. Plastic, today, is banned in most places in Mega Manila.

The Goya bars were around 40 pesos. I only had around 100 pesos a day then. My roundtrip from home to school was around 54-56 pesos. You just do the math.

However, shyness struck me again. She was with most of her friends in a nearby plantbox. I'm only one person. I asked GS and another friend we will hide in the code LV to deliver the Goya and they agreed just because I gave them some of my baon. Thank God I share my blessings.

I peered from the window of our room to see if they will really give the rush gift to CM. I threatened them to throw up the Goldilocks they ate if they won't do it. Of course, that was just to be taken lightly. I don't really become angry. The last time I did was around 10 years prior to this event, when a friend burned my face by poking me with a burning twig. We were friends, so I don't know why he would do that only to joke around. I may have gone blind, you know.

They gave the rush gift to CM, and they returned with smiles. I asked them why. LV said, "Thank you daw." GS added, "Yiee. Kinikilig na yan. Sana daw ikaw na nag-abot."
I know they're just kidding me around para mapahiya ako sa harap ng mga babaeng kaibigan niya. Still, I peered again and saw her keep the gift. At least she didn't give it away, and I thought that could be a good sign for me.

Tingin ko lang yun. Malay ko ba? Saka, may boyfriend pa rin siyang rumoronda lang sa kabilang section. Baka di na ko makalabas ng school gate niyan.

January 22 mission was complete. Though, at this point, we still haven't talked. Much like the status from Part 1. However, that was not the last birthday of hers that she will receive something from me. In the future, I will try my luck again, but that time it will be with a larger audience and greater hype.

End of Part 2

This love story lasted 4 years, 5 months, 1 week, which actually just finished a few days back. Wala na nga lang munang spoiler. Part 2 only covered the 1 month. I'm not sure if I'd finish it, though. I have a busy schedule. Still, if you want the subsequent parts, I shall do my best to write it for you. Sorry if I had limited pictures. Limited lang talaga eh. Wala tayong magagawa. I may still try to give some of her images in the following parts for the sake of writing and the readers' visual pleasure (though she might really hate me more for this). My Facebook friends, though, could try search who CM really is. Just don't be cocky about it without my consent.

Have a happy December ahead!
