[Proposal] MU's and Orgs...

So after a brief discussion in #UKPP, with some of the brightest minds the eUK has to offer, we are proud to announce a fantastic new (kinda) proposal to the eUK. As we all know, unless you have been living under a rock or a newbie, Carlini has been doing some fantastic work with the countries orgs. Using the eUK tax money, he has been playing the the Monetary Market (MM) commonly known as 'GoldFishing' with mixed but positive results. For those of you ho do not know what GoldFishing is, it is basically turning Country Currency (CC) into gold. This gold is then turned back into CC and repeated. Netting you a nice little profit!

After many months of trial, error and educated guestimation Carlini was able to determine that around 50kCC was the optimum amount to place in each org. This led to many orgs being unused so to try and turn a slight profit they were offered out to private citizens to use in exactly the same manner for a cut of the winnings, due to the No Limit on gold per day like we have with our personal accounts. Obviously with such a great amount of CC needed to operate one, eUK had little takers.

After quickly trading ideas about Government backed loan schemes for Training Grounds (TG), we hit upon the idea of allowing MU's to operate their very own org. This gives MU's control of there finances and how those finances are distributed, be it through TG upgrades, taking advantage of spikes in the gold price or simply being able to stockpile tanks and money for times of need. If used correctly this could benefit the eUK more then any Government controlled scheme.

So what does this have to do with me?

Well, it would be your MUs org given freely by the eUK Governemt. You will be responsible for running it and for funding it and best of all... For spending it.

So what do we have to do?

Show interest. Most MU leaders have been sent a message or contacted via IRC. E-mail and passwords will be handed over and your commander will be fully in control of a org. It is then up to you and your people to best
decide the strategy taken with it

How do we donate to it?

The simplest way to do this would be by buying overpriced products on the market. Your Commander/MU/Finance Team will be responsible for organising this.

What do we do once we have the cash inside?

Whatever you want! As stated before these orgs are money making factories if played correctly. Most will play the MM by GoldFishing and hopefully make a pretty penny doing so. Although, some coordination with other MU's may be needed in order for us all to extract the most out of the market.

Is this all they do?

Pretty much, although you do get the added bonus of 1000 storage (handy for a strike when certain guys can't get on to supply) and the use of a official newspaper, which I think you'll agree is pretty handy.

So when can we have one?
Hopefully within the next few days. As soon as accounts are cleared and ready to go those that have shown interest will be informed.

So that's the idea guys. Good to go or not worth the hassle?

It only requires work from MU's. All MoF/Gov have to do is hand out the passwords and emails. MU's are free to change the passwords.

It's probally a way for Wayne and pals to steal money to follow up his party destroying antics. The CP can request the passwords of all eUk orgs and take any money he wishes without punishment.

Such negativity Goku... But you are correct the CP can request passwords to any Orgs that belong to the eUK. This now makes the eUK CP position the most trusted job in eUK.

I for one would be pulling all DC monies from the Org should the likes of you get elected...

I presume this is through govt orgs?

I could get behind this, to be honest, as long as there was a criteria for who recieve these orgs, as I don't think party affiliated MU should gain the bonus (regardless of which party) whereas nuetral MU trying to get into the armed forces program/are already in there will benefit tremendously.

If its through other orgs, then I can see no reason not to allow it to all.

I like the proposal - I just am a little apprehensive like the idea of it being available to a facilitate party growth, if thats what the MU ends up doing with it.

would the government be able to claim a percentage of profits? Or is it more like a rent situation where they pay a certain amount each month and then they receive continued access to the org? basically, does the govt gain a bonus beyond strengthened MU, which may or may not work with the MoD, and thats totally fine as far as independence of MU goes imo

If a MU does use it for there party then fair enough. Their choice. Although I would hope Commanders and members could see that they would be better used strengthening MU's.

The Government could take a cut if it so required, but that would kill the idea dead and the profits to baw/hassle ratio wouldn't make it worth it. Myself, Butjam, Carlini and the MU leaders that we spoke to would rather they were cost free. The Government isn't losing out as the Orgs would be unused anyway.

We have quite a few orgs that we simply lack the cash to fill, once Jimbo gives me the nod I'll be getting in touch with commanders with possible orgs. Gonna' have to do some shuffling of funds around a bit so appropriate orgs are lent out and others are kept to the Gov, storing our money (Not sure if giving the MoFA org to the Dentists would be a great plan...) and playing the market. I support MU's both inside and outside the UKAF getting one of them and that's what I aim to deliver, just a case of selection of the most appropriate MU's of course

Without bothering to go through, shift dribbling amounts of money together and grabbing ones with appropriate names for MU's to use (E.g. Army I or HMS London) I'd say at least a dozen.

The MU's would be free to change email and password on them but you can't remove the fact that the CP can at any point decide to reset password and email through the admins, that's just a game mechanic

Can we not change the emails on them? It took quite a while to get good names with safe email addresses on all the orgs (you can see the list so you know what it looks like 😃) - Sure change the password as that leaves them in exactly the same position with the CP the only guy who can get on the org.

Nice to see this happen. Legion was recently discussing this very idea, and it will go a long way to help us continue to be able to fund supplies for as many soldiers as we can support.
