[NAZ4CP] It's Time To Vote

Day 3,272, 09:12 Published in USA USA by Azazel Romanov

Greetings,

It’s been a fun election I guess. I’ve actually enjoyed writing articles this season and I’m glad to be a part of this process once again. I am glad to have the support of the Federalist Party and with individuals throughout the rest of the parties. But this isn’t simply going to be a wrap-up. I want to touch on a few points again to make sure it gets through.

Once again, consolidation is not limiting involvement. It’s about making sensible changes that should have been done a long time ago. I admit, I might be killing some new player’s dream of eventually becoming Vice President, but I’m willing to live with that consequence. Media isn’t going away, it’s simply going to be under the authority of CoS to ensure it actually gets done. I have already recruited several people to Defense and DoCA, so we won’t be lacking in those areas either. If people want to keep pretending that I’m turning government into the Small Council Cabal, they can keep doing that. But they’re wrong.

Second, we have to do more for USAF/USAAC than wait and see. I’m under the impression that we can fix both, or make USAAC a new part of the USAF (which I found out there actually isn’t much disagreement on with the parties involved). We could keep ignoring issues there due to personal disagreements and act like it doesn’t exist, but I’d actually like to think a national government is capable of addressing known issues. I don’t want to simply give them space to grow, I want to become involved and ensure they have the tools, exposure, and resources needed to grow. I want to actually consider the opinions of those within the DoD, and act upon those.

Third, DoCA is more than education. We can turn DoCA into an engine capable of reshaping our social culture in this game. We can use the department to create interaction and community among players, and actually foster a new generation of players rather than pointing them to the next copy-paste article. I believe we have the capability to create socially driven programs and advertise those programs throughout the media consistently and effectively. I have faith that working alongside fingerguns we can accomplish this goal.

Finally, we have to try new things. A lot has been made about USA’s safety and security, which I agree we have had thanks in large part to Wild Owl. But what have we been doing with it? We’re seeing declining activity in executive departments. We’re seeing declining engagement with politics in general. In short, we’ve come to accept mediocrity. Why? We deserve activity centered on internal matters. We deserve a true foreign policy vision beyond simple security. I know Wild Owl will keep us safe, but I ultimately don’t have faith that he’ll be doing anything worthwhile with that safety. I worry that we’ll continue on the same pattern of external safety and internal decline.

I don’t know if I’ll win, but I would hope if I didn’t that Wild Owl would consider important points my campaign has made and act upon those. We have both picked capable teams of accomplishing something worthwhile. I think we both fundamentally agree that we have to create the foundation for the next generation. I’d like to think we both agree we shouldn’t have to be doing this anymore. Between us we have 9 Presidential Terms. I swore I was done after two, and then I swore I was done after three. At what point are we done prepping people to step up? Beyond this election, no matter the outcome, I would like to see the new era arise and the old recede.

Remember to vote.
