【MoFA】 Start as we mean to go on
Foreign Office
The first few days of a month are always a bedding in period, with fresh faces in Government assuming roles, returning faces getting ready for another month, and in some cases, faces that inspire undefinable rage. In all seriousness, the month ahead with FA isn't going to be revolutionary. The first step is to assess the activity of governments in allied nations, and ensure direct links with Asteria and Orion are maintained.
The department has already secured the direct links we need with both alliances to ensure effective communication, and our first couple of days will mainly center on scoping the landscape. Movements, changes and future policy will be dictated by the sounders we put out in these few days, and I'm loathe to steal thunder from others: so for now we're doing the boring stuff.
To add further annoyance, the vast majority of alliance-based discussions take place on Telegram, as the foundations were setup before Discord really became a thing. So for anyone hoping to get involved in Foreign Affairs, don't think that being active on Discord is enough; prepare for your mobile battery to scream low power reminders as you run Discord, WhatsApp and Telegram all at the same time.
Finally, for anyone interested in getting involved, or just shadowing and seeing how things are run, please don't hesitate to get in touch. There's tons of room for people to get involved, and plenty to do! If you are interested, feel free to drop me a message, or speak to Appleby.
PPS: There will be a more detailed article outlining foreign policy and an outline of the wars in the world coming up in the next couple of days. In the mean time, keeping up to date with stuff is pretty simple: pretty much everything is a training war. Yep, even that one.

I blame jamesw.
I am indeed to blame, for these shiny new 【brackets】
They're gay and so are you.
you love them, and you love me even more. Don't even try to deny it.
lovely isn't it all these chatrooms 🙂
I would really recommend shadowing James and Apples in Fa if you want a real shot at CP. It is THE stepping stone.
If you want a real shot at CP you would be better off coming and asking UKPP to run you for the shits and giggles. More chance of running and winning...
Harambe has shown that you don't need 'experience' in order to perform well. You certainly don't need a month in a 'ministry' in order to gain the right to be a CP.
And to all budding wannabe CP's, don't follow Appleby's example!
Sure Wayne if it is someone who wants to run from your "side" of the political landscape you guys see him or her through and show the ropes.
As if you were thrown in to the deep end when you first started?
Harambe was not 'our side'. I, personally, had spoken to him twice before. Truth be told, had Zubrei made more of an effort, he would of been our Ape of choice. Zubrei failed, Harambe stepped up.
As for his cabinet, he, in his wisdom, saw an eUK that was getting back on it's feet and decided that he would allow the team that was currently dusting us off to carry on. You were in the messages, did you ever see anyone telling Harambe what to do?
Being CP isn't a mythical job that only certain people with the certain skills and info can do. Harambe has shown us the light. Take a gamble on the unknown once in while. We did it with Wook (shame what he has become) once to great success. We've just done it again with Harambe.
As for my first time as CP, I had Keers trying to use Sirius has a politica weapon to undermine me and then had to deal with 5 NE's and an AirStrike.
Most of those I listened to and took heed of, were players that had never been CP and more than likely never been in Government. Couple that with the fact I never expected to win, so didn't even pick a cabinet until I had the medal, then yeah. I was thrown in at the deep end. Sink or swim is the best way to learn.
If you wanna play the game, 'our side' will indeed show you the ropes. But you sink or swim on your own. Thankfully most of us are damn good swimmers over here.
I remember that.
My phone won't load apps, so that's me screwed for starters.
I ran both on my PC - you don't need to run them on your phone only to have a mobile number for Telegram. I don't know anything about whatsapp.
WhatsApp you need the App to run on a computer, you have to scan a QR code on your PC via the app to gain access.
