[MoFA] Ireland Enters Pacifica

Day 4,771, 14:37 Published in Ireland Ireland by Irish Foreign Ministry

Citizens of Ireland,

On Day 4,770, your congress unanimously ratified Ireland's entry to the alliance Pacifica. It is here that we joined comrades both new and old.

Our alliance members are:
Poland, Russia, Sweden, Finland & Taiwan

Whilst it may appear strange and questionable to many as to this diplomatic and military move, Ireland and Pacifica have shared many moments together over the past few years.

There have been plenty moments in which our nations have remained close.

Poland protected Irish industry for the majority of this year. Their presence in our regions Cork and Mayo ensured better production capabilities for Irish producers. Even as determination rose above x5.0, Polish soldiers stuck by Ireland and continued to look after our citizens. Ireland looks forward to working closly with our Polish allies in the future.

Russia was a strong training war partner during early 2019. It was during this period our nations began much stronger communications which continued to this day through occasional messaging and relationship building. Ireland looks forward to working closly with our Russian allies in the future.

Sweden is a nation with whom we have found ourselves fighting against on the battlefield in recent times as we supported our allies that we formed in CODE. Despite this, Ireland and Sweden have never held ill-will to one another and have a history of cooperation dating back to 2016 whereby we carried out coordinated strikes in air battles. Ireland looks forward to working closly with our Swedish allies in the future.

Finland is a nation with whom Ireland has had a fantastic relationship over the past year. They have been one of our greatest Training War parnters and one of our greatest allies on the battlefield of Irelands defence. Their stay on our shores was cut short but we eagerly await to see them return. Ireland looks forward to working closly with our Finnish allies in the future.

Taiwan is the only nation of Pacifa with whom we have little shared history. It is for this reason we have welcomed them to our shores to join us in a training war in a bid to open our communication, work on our ability to cooperate with one another and provide ourselves a chance to allow for a new friendship to blossom. Ireland looks forward to working closly with our Taiwanese allies in the future.

To our friends across the eWorld, I quote our current CP in an aritcle he wrote on Day 3,283, a whole 1,488 days ago:

"Looking back proudly

eIreland is one of the few countries which has never changed or made a ‘shift’ to the other side. I really can’t remember too many of this kind. Since the day eIreland has been added to the game it had simple rules. First, we’re supporting our friends without asking for anything in return, regardless of how it is in the situation. Second, we don’t change sides, as a small country you need to show yourself as stable, easy to talk to and reliable community. Otherwise you’re gonna lose everything you are - your reputation. Irish reputation is one of our biggest strength."

My message to the soldiers of Ireland,

“No man has a right to fix the boundary of the march of a nation; no man has a right to say to his country – thus far shalt thou go and no further.”
Charles Stewart Parnell, 1885
