Children of Pakistan and children of the sand! Dioism has been the state religion of Pakistan since the early days of the new World. It is the duty of every Pakistani to be familiar with Dioism and its teachings.

To get yourself well versed with the teachings that our Divine Majesty Dio Brando has provided us, the Ministry of Education will help you, to guide you on the way of a true Pakistani warrior. This is part one of our series on Dioism. Be sure to follow up with part two to deepen your knowledge.

Dio Brando

As already stated, Dioism is the state religion in the Holy Empire of Pakistan. It is the belief that the God-Emperor of Pakistan, Dio Brando, created the eWorld and all the laws behind it. As such it is one of the world's largest religions having many adherents from across the whole world.

It is believed that Dio is all and all is Dio. In many ways, the politics and actions of Dioists reflect these beliefs. Dio is believed to have come from sand and then created life and every Pakistani.

Sand

Sand is the holiest of all objects for Dioists. They use it to provide for all their basic needs. Sand kebabs are a popular food among them and they make some of the best houses in the world out of sand.

Dioists also have every major event in their life marked by sand. For example, when a baby is born they are given a baptism in sand which has a great meaning to them. Also, in death, it is almost without exemption that they are buried in the great sand deserts of Pakistan.

The Book of Dio

The Book of Dio is the holy text of the religion of Dioism. It is the official chronicle of the adventures of Dio Brando. The compilation of stories and wisdom was written over the period of a month by Pakistani monks Altnabla and William Walker, with contributions from many other Pakistani. The Book covers various topics, from great wars to formed alliances to Falcon's enlightenment.

The Book is the basis for all learning in Pakistan and is studied by schoolchildren and Literature majors alike at the Falcon University of Creative Knowledge. It's believed that behind the passages in this book, there is an even deeper truth, one which would require a mind of the greatest caliber to discover and comprehend. All Pakistani are expected to be able to recite the book by verbatim upon completion of secondary school.

If this is your first time reading the Book of Dio, make sure to start with the Instructions.

Pride

The virtue of Pride can best be described by the term: 'moral ambitiousness.' It means that one must earn the right to hold oneself as one’s own highest value by achieving one’s own moral perfection—which one achieves by never accepting any code of irrational virtues impossible to practice and by never failing to practice the virtues one knows to be rational—by never accepting an unearned guilt and never earning any, or, if one has earned it, never leaving it uncorrected—by never resigning oneself passively to any flaws in one’s character—by never placing any concern, wish, fear or mood of the moment above the reality of one’s own self-esteem. And, above all, it means one’s rejection of the role of a sacrificial animal, the rejection of any doctrine that preaches self-immolation as a moral virtue or duty.

Don't believe in yourself; believe in me who believes in you!
(Dio Brando)

In Pakistan, pride is valued among the Dioists as it shows that they all have solidarity in their beliefs, and confidence in their brothers. This allows them to act as one entity with vitality and strength without being hindered by doubt in their comrades. However, excessive pride may lead to corruption and deceit, so the virtue of pride is meant to be used in temperance, and not take the form of hubris.

Power

Power is one of the fundamental beliefs of Dioism.

Power is a measure of a person's ability to control the environment around them, including the behavior of other persons. The term "authority" is often used for power perceived as legitimate by the social structure. In Dioism, human individuals or groups can be modeled as 'actors' who choose from a 'choice set' of possible actions in order to try and achieve desired outcomes. An actor's 'incentive structure' comprises the costs associated with different actions in the choice set and the likelihood that different actions will lead to desired outcomes.

Do not forget your past, as it influences your future. It is the manifestation of your destiny.
(Dio Brando)

In Pakistan, power is valued among the Dioists as it shows that they have strength as individuals, as well as strength as a whole. The ability to control one's fate is desirable in the sense that one has the ability to change their lives through action, and their life is not predestined to a linear outcome.

Pakistan

For every Dioist Pakistan is the Holy Land and the most divine country in this world. This is best described by fellow Pakistani Soren Mace:

This, here and now, is Heaven. This Pakistan! Can any Pakistani say there is a better place than here and now? Is there a more glorious calling than ours? Is there any place you would rather be? Is there anything more beautiful, more majestic than our Sand? This the best of all possible places which is the very definition of Heaven. We live in heaven made physical, made corporal, by the divine grace of Dio.

I believe in the sun, even though it is slow in rising.
I believe in you, without realizing.
I believe in rain, though there are no clouds in the sky.
I believe in truth, even though people lie.
I believe in peace, though sometimes I am violent.
I believe in Dio Brando, even though he is silent.
