[MoE] How to fight tactically for maximum effect
Ministerie van Media en Recrui
Dear citizens of the eNetherlands,
I write to you from a secret location in the Northern Netherlands, as the government buildings in Amsterdam were captured yesterday night by Mexican paratroopers. After fleeing my nice office at the Ministry of Many Names (also known as the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Coaching, Ministry of Coaching & Recruitment and Ministry of Information, depends on the president which name it has...) I took the northbound NS train, with the usual delay, to arrive in a small village somewhere on the countryside. Here I found my old attic room in which I wrote many articles when eNL was occupied by ePoland.
So here I am again, writing to inform the eDutch resistance about tactics and strategies to use in an occupied country.
You might think when standing on the battlefiel
😛the more dead enemies, the closer we get to victory! But this is not completely true. As we live in an occupied country, supplies are scarce, and ammunition has to be preserved. And above all, you don't want to exhaust yourself completely before the decisive moment in battle comes.
To win a battle one side has to reach 1800 domination points. These points are given to the side that has above 50% influence every minute. BUT BEWARE! As the battle progresses it is of course more likely to force a breakthrough into enemy lines!
0 - 30 minutes into battle = 10 points a minute
30 - 60 minutes into battle = 20 points a minute
60 - 90 minutes into battle = 30 points a minute
90 - 12- minutes into battle = 60 points a minute
Don't fight to early!
You will only exhaust yourself, and damage done in the last stages of the battle can be worth 6x more domination points!
Don't fight to fierce!
Of course you want to strike fear into your enemies! But when the influence bar is above 50%, every extra damage will achieve less, as the bar is already on our side. It is best not to push further than 56% at max (exact number is debatable, you might want to check the comments for more info).
But when the battle is won, the war is not over...
The battles are only smaller units of a bigger campaign. A country wins a campaign when 94 points are achieved. Battles are fought by different divisions, and every division can achieve a certain amount of points by winning a battle:
Division 1 (lv. 1-34) wins: 1 point
Division 2 (lv. 35-49) wins: 2 points
Division 3 (lv. 50-69) wins: 3 points
Division 4 (lv. 70+) wins: 5 points
And then there is the air battle, a special battle without divisions that takes place after every 3 ground battles. Winning it achieves 22 points!
Don't fight when the battle seems lost!
When the influence bar is in big favor of the enemy, and they have almost reached 1800 domination points, it is useless to spend your recources on this battle. It is better to fight harder in the next battle. This is of course a matter of personal guessing. You have to decide yourself if a battle is lost, or if there is still some hope left...
Consider joining the Dutch Airforce!
As you can see, an air battle can be of enormous strategic importance. Winning it gives us 2x as much points as winning 2 ground battles with all divisions!
The Ministry of Defence has a special program to set up our airforce. Read more about it here.

If any MoD officials, or military experts have any remarks or complaints (or compliments 😃). The article is open for revision, and I am open for discussion...

Some rephrasing applied...
I tend to disagree with these tactics. They are indeed referred to often and its very usefull to know the points rewarded difference to understand the concept. However waiting until an hour or more is passed works when you have a large amount off players active that step in at that point and especially if you have several battles at hand to fight in simultaneously and therefore need to spread damage wisely. If you don't chances are big you won't manage anymore as you lack the means.
Also you might want to rephrase this; "As you can see, an air battle can be of enormous strategic importance. Winning it gives us 2x as much points as winning 2 ground battles with all divisions!" 😉
Good article indeed when to foght depends on several factors. Amount of support from allies(fighters), Combat Orders, time(night or day), and the stage of the war. We may also want to focus on a specific division so other devisions should not waste their energy if that happens.
Anyway like I said. Well written article I hope to see it more often(like everytime we are at war).
