[Mittekemuis]Intention of running for CP and some other news

Greetings fellow countrymen and women,

Before I bring you up to speed on some world”events” would like to announce that I am running for Country President.

For those who don’t know me, shame on you!
Back in Autumn 2010 my character was born in eBelgium where my RL roots are. For not too long eBelgium got a bit too small for me and I crossed the North Sea to land with the RAF in the eUK (most may not even remember the elite Fighters of that time). Almost from day one I have been interested in the Foreign Affairs side of eRepublik. Getting to know the eWorlds most interesting people, from influential leaders to people who had true believes. Always found my way on different forums, IRC and these days Discord and Telegram, basically the metagame outside the ingame mechanics. Writing is my second ePassion and together with the friends over years that is what keeps me coming back.
I can say I have done it all at least once before, Congress member, FA Minister in Belgium - UK - Estonia - Romania - Turkey, Party President, 3 times CP, SoFA for ONE, SG for TWO and SG for Sirius. All this was a long time ago and I am not going to pretend the game is the same. But here I am back after a two years absence and willing to lead the country through the month of August. I promise to push the buttons, talk the talk and write the articles needed to inform. I also promise not to run away and surround me with all active players from all parties.

Serving under the Harambe administration gave me enough inspiration to take the step. With this said, I like to thank UKPP for opening up a little to let me in. My role was very small but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Past month I had the opportunity to get to know the leaders within our Alliance and reach out to the others. A stepping stone to something more involving.



In other News:

UK training war with Georgia and Sweden.
The latest good article about this was from Huey George.
Basically Georgia who agreed to a training war by making an airstrike on UK soil were meant to be signing MPPs after they landed. They managed to only sign one and even with us opening a second TW with Sweden to divide the damage of our allies and opening RWs as fast as possible + putting money on CO they weren’t able to keep the TW going. It is my humble opinion this administration has done all they could to make it a success.

Shortly after the AS from Georgia, Sweden set NE on the UK and a second Training War opened. Mechanics are simple, we loose the main battles and win the Resistance Wars. Sweden is a good sport and we work well together.

Congress elections



Summer recess has creeped in the amount of voting done for Congress this month. Only the joined ballot of TUP and PCP held its level of voters.
Nonetheless the balance of powers within congress stayed pretty much the same.
The new country feed in our shoutbox should make things even more easy to get citizens in the whole country updated. I do hope the old mass congress messages still keep going though. I feel it is still more efficient to discuss in depth certain issues.

News of the world
There is disappointingly little to say other than one Training War is been swapped for another. Next to the occasion reset NE for resetting Determination the major powers on the board are still very comfortable in their roles. The only little glitch on the horizon was an internal political mess in Serbia what made it possible for its occupied countries to retaliate. But by now Asteria has recovered all back.



Okay guys, this is it for me. I will write a proper article on what I plan to do in August and ask Congress to endorse my candidacy. I have the backing of my own party but hope to see more people in the UK put their trust in me to run this country again.
