[MDP] We Want You Inside Us

Day 1,845, 22:44 Published in Canada Canada by Muglack

Hello friends,

I can't be bothered to find music for this article so I would suggest you hum something to yourself as you read. I don't care what. Just pick something and keep it going until the end. Something up beat would be preferred but it's your mouth, do what you want with it.

So things in the MDP have been moving along fairly well on some issues, and have been going not so well in others.

First, our Congressmen have been doing what I fully expected them to do. Kicking @$$ and taking names. Homer has been an outstanding speaker, he has gone above the call of duty in clearing out the backlog of work left from the last Speaker which could of easily been forgotten and swept under the rug. He also took the initiative and was a one man wrecking crew on collecting, processing and posting all of the information Congress required from the assorted MUs so we knew where we stood, and could once again move forward to get funding flowing.

In a Congressional term that seems to be overrun by a plethora of players who were only interested in the 5 gold, the MDP has proven that it's members actually care about the country and are actively trying to change this country for the better.

Now to the downside. We need you inside us. Being informed by parties almost three times our size that things are going to be a certain way, and there's nothing we can do about it is simply unacceptable. While the MDP is able to outwit, outflank, and outwork our counterparts at the end of the day when it turns into purely a numbers game we are simply at a disadvantage that is almost too great to overcome.

That's where you come in. We need you to help us make this country better. It's simple physics. The greater the mass the more energy it builds, and the more energy it builds the greater it's momentum, and the greater it's momentum the greater it's force.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter how much momentum you build up when you're a tiny rock smashing against an inactive and unresponsive wall, because it can easily withstand your onslaught. What we need are pebbles and stones that we can incorporate into our amalgamated mass of progress so our momentum and our will for positive change can no longer be disregarded by a group of sedentary guardians who are more interested in collecting their medals and rewards while leaving themselves rooted strongly in the past.

I ask you not to do what's best for the "You" of today, but to do what's best for the "You" of tomorrow.

Join the MDP.
