Am I the only one that sees this act of Hungary as brutal abuse of the Belgian Neutrality? 😕

Well, I'm afraid this will not be the last surprise from Hungary in this training war. Some in the population could have warn... but we were not informed in time. Now, let's see what's gonna happen.

I think the Hungarians played us for fools so they could enter the Netherlands. Sort of like they did with Switzerland only even more underhanded. At least they made their intentions clear to Switzerland.

Not really annoyed that Hungary is going to establish an outpost in Southern Netherlands. We are neutral, aren't we?

Not a surprise for me, i said that was an opportunity for them to have several borders with countries in the other side, but so late, i didn't have the forum on this computer, it's not mine.

eNl have problem with this "TW" now it's our problem to help them. Poor neutrality.

The eNetherlands should know we merely wanted a TW. We've asked you guys for one in the past too. That didn't make us pro-EDEN or anything. The Hungarians betrayed us, and if not then Mitte betrayed us. Though I highly doubt the latter.

Believe us, the last thing we want is the Hungarians stomping on over our land to go conquer a nation we're trying to befriend. It's not like we have much choice anymore though. We could never stop the Hungarians even if we tried our hardest.

To be sincere I am dissapointed. I would never expect such (hopefully) naivity. While Its allways easier attack small country, its you who have to take responsibility for attack on Netherlands.

We should have helped eNL and started a training war with them. I still do not understand why eBe has showed zero initiative to help them..

Hungary has my full support to wipe every region there could be free from the Netherlands. This has nothing to do with betrayal, but with a smart use of circumstances. I applaud there initiative to kill dutchies.
eNL is a nation of unworthy neighbors and a nice occupation will serve them well.

Unless you're deep into "conspiracy theory", it's not hard to understand :
- a huge mistake with a TW signed without a good analysis
- a hungarian use of the situation (in belgian's back)

Making a mistake can't challenge neutrality's will, and does not make us responsible for what Hungary does.

And I agree with Elynea's answer to NLSP. I hope NL will get out of this soon.

I think that for eBe's security it is essential that we don't trust eNL anymore. As long eNL is occupied and have no borders with eBe, they can't attack us again.

Interesting situation. I don't know how you can stay Neutral as you are part of the conflict now. Or you guys helped the Huns or you got betrayed by them. No way, you guys are Neutral.

the third option is: we started a TW and the huns suddenly noticed they have a border with eNL which means bad luck for eNL 🙂 we did not actively invaded the netherlands, nor will our government troops support the huns in their invasion which means we are neutral by all means

I think it's time for you to take your informations. I said before, we are not an important country, but our situation is interesting for others. I don't want to see eBelgium like an Hungarian's puppet.

I am not aware of Hungary not fulfilling an agreement with us.
It doesn't mean, cause they now use this situation to their adventage, that we become or need to become Hungary's puppet.
Being their puppet would mean, that we just do everything they want. Now they did what we wanted and besides that, they did something that didn't affect eBe (but pleased me greatly)

apparently Polish soldiers actively helped RW South NL, after which the NE was possible - this is quite far-fetched to foresee imo... no TW could be envisioned if we took into account all the theoretical possibilities... or we should talk and agree upon every TW with every neighbour (which is not practical either)...

in my view, not even a mistake by mittekemuis, simply bad luck for NL; but they didn't liberate themselves from the Poles...

"Taking all theorical possibilities" is not possible. But it doesn't forbid to think a minimum before doing it.

Many points of the context (Hungary's actual context and past history, the actual wars nextdoor,...) made it way too risky. Too many possibilities of using this TW to screw either neighbours (NL, France,...) or Belgium itself, with a high probability.

This is not just an "a posteriori" remark. Some people (Elyena first) said it before Hungary started to move.

It's your view Ward, but it's to late.

What I did see was a disturbance in the eNl after the announcement of our TW with the Huns. They were worried, and as it shows now, they had all reasons to be so. I don;t want to point fingers, as I don't posses all the info, but what I do know is that I'm not happy to have been an instrument in someone else's plans. That's not what neutrality is about.

Neither is neutrality about pleasing the dutch, especially after the way they treated us
if the object to a hungary TW, well then they should have offered us nice conditions for a TW (fully on eNL ground, strong guarantee that eBe will not loose regions, huge monetary reward for eBe returned if eNL abide by the TW, apologies for their incorrect behaviour, 10% back of the gold that eBe generously donated to eNL as a sign of good will)
They didn't, so they shouldn't complain

13 people (including my vote) voted for the TW. If there is to be blame, it should rest on the majority of the eBelgian congress.

But I don't think that it was reasonable to foresee this turn of events, and the complaining by eNL is just whinging.
