[FINANCE] Financial report December 2, 16h00 eRep time.

Day 743, 16:30 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Ministerie van Economische Zak

Dear eUNL citizens and other interested,

I know that I promised that the report of November 24, 14h30 eRep time would be the last one, but as the new government has just been formed, I’ll have a (really) last report on what happened this week.

But allow me to start with expressing huge thanks to everybody who has given me confidence during my last two mandates as Minister of Finances. I know when I came in two months ago, I had no government or minister experience, yet still I was given the opportunity and confidence to act as MoF. During my mandate I had great support of many of you, with a lot of suggestions and nice comments. Thanks all!

So herewith the report of December 2, 16h00 eRep time, bearing some really good news:

As highlights I can name the improved monetary market situation, and some big income/donations receive😛 a hospital has been sold, and the SmilesLottery has donated a huge amount of GOLD!

Please note that all information given, with the possible exception of explanations, is public and can be viewed by all eRepublik users.

Balances of State Account, DNB and Ministerie van Economische Zak
See “Appendix” at the bottom of message.

Justification of movements made/received by the Ministry of Finance
December 1: 300 GOLD (!) received in DNB from SmilesLottery. (Reason: SmilesLottery hold a draw where the profit would be for the eUNL.). On behalf of the Ministry of Finance, and the eUNL, I would like to thank SmilesLottery (and the people behind it) and the sponsors who delivered the prizes.
December 1: 100 G received in Ministerie of Economische Zak from State Companies 2. (Reason: a hospital has been sold, and the gold distributed over Ministerie van Economische Zak as working capital and DNB as long-term treasury.)
December 1: 140 G received by DNB from State Companies 2. (Reason: a hospital has been sold, and the gold distributed over Ministerie van Economische Zak as working capital and DNB as long-term treasury.)
November 29: Two times 10 G has been donated to Ministry of Raws from Ministerie van Economische Zak. (Reason: Gold needed to provide raws to state companies.)
November 27: 50 G donated from Ministerie van Economische Zak to State Accounts. (Reason: Get enough gold in the state accounts to propose a MPP with Russia.)
November 26: 50 G donated to State Accounts by our friends the Russians. (Reason: Paying part of the eUNL costs for a MPP with Russia, besides their own 100 G.)
November 25: 14,000 NLG moved from State Accounts to Ministerie van Economische Zak. (Reason: Put money safely in a governmental organization.)

Justification of other actions performed by Ministry of Finance
Besides doing a lot to stabilize the monetary market (see below), I have been in touch with many citizens asking questions, giving suggestions, etc. on the forum. Check it out, you might be able to help the new Minister of Finances as well as you helped me out! Second, I have participated in brainstorming sessions with the eUK MoF and uMoF to come to a solution how to structure the financial part of the potential merger. We had a really good cooperation, and I am glad we came to – in my opinion – a good solution using the “method of Auggustus”. You can find all details on the forum: http://www.enetherlands.nl/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=3701.

News: Financial laws & proposals
November 25 [Accepted] Move 14,000 NLG from State Accounts to Ministerie van Economische Zak to keep it safe from attacks. Accepted with 36 YES and 1 NO.

Additional laws with a financial impact: a MPP with Russia (currently costing 100 G) has been signed.

News: Monetary Market
Exchange rates are currently 1 NLG = 0.015 G and 1 G = 70 NLG. As this has been more or less the same over the week (sometimes going up to 1 G = 72 NLG, but no real excesses), it seems that the times of high instability are over, reaching rates of over 1 G = 79 NLG. I’d like to thank all citizens for suggestions and putting offers on the MM to stabilize it, and I hope the current Minister can assure this will continue.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to comment on this article or on the forum: http://www.enetherlands.nl/viewforum.php?f=101, or by contacting me personally through PM.

That’s it for my two mandates as MoF. Good luck to my successor!

Kind regards,

Your Minister of Finance,
Boklevski
