[Elections] Declaration
Bohemond4
Greetings to you all
Congress elections near, and while we run on an MMP system which means that seats are guaranteed, I would like to share some of my reasons for running for Congress. I am a native Briton by birth and citizenship, though I live in the colonies, I still hold myself to be British. Therefore, I wish to serve my eNation as best as I can because I am British. I aim to serve the eUK’s community in Congress through promoting good, active government that is willing to discuss issues collectively and come to a proper conclusion based on this. I have a lot of experience running alliance-like organisations on a number of other gaming systems, or participating at the highest levels of leadership I believe that this experience will be useful in Congress.
After a series of articles that raise the profile of various parties, ive decided to keep this relatively apolitical. With the nearing of the election, at least for this month, let us take a moment to reflect on the election campaign, it’s been rough and ready in these articles that we have shared, and I am sure tempers have run high on all sides of the spectrum. I feel that this is, fundamentally, detrimental to the cause of our nation as a whole.
So, I wish to say good luck to you all in this election! To each party and faction entering the race. Best of luck to ya, and may we put aside our personal issue and work on creating a United Kingdom once again.
I believe that The Unity Party is the party with the most knowledge and experience to lead the eUK through these difficult times. They have the experience and the skills. TUP stands for a better future for all eUK citizens. This is why I am running, and voting, for The Unity Party. Stand with me, United, for a better future for the United Kingdom.
Cheers
Boh

You don't really hear the word "Briton" in the UK.
You don't really hear the name "Goku" in the UK.

*raises eyebrow* really? Briton is a term used to describe a British person. Its perfectly valid. I don't see why you felt the need to degrade the nation of my birth and the term I used to describe my citizenship, identity and belief in the UK.
I'm just saying that people living in the UK don't tend to refer to themselves as that in my experience, especially with the growing nationalist movements.
It's either "British" or "English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish". If we go down to tribe names then it's "Celt/Saxon/Viking(badass)".

True, I see where your coming from. However, Briton is probably the most accurate term in the singular. Usually I refer to myself as English or British, but Briton is equally valid :
But nobody uses it in the UK and it sounds weird.
