[Election] Short interview with Dishmcds and jamesw

Day 1,292, 15:20 Published in United Kingdom Sweden by Kain Propan

As the Prime Minister elections will be held tomorrow I decided to do a short interview with two of the candidates.
Dishmcds from UKRP and jamesw from ESO.

1. What three words would you use to best describe your way of running a nation?

Dishmcds: Communicative, Direct, and Honest.

jamesw: Blamed whilst innocent.

2. What is, in your eyes, your biggest achievement in this game?

Dishmcds: I don't know if I have a "biggest achievement", as I like most of what I've done in this game. I think signing a peace deal with EDEN when everyone said it was horrible, to be proven right later was pretty high up there for me, as we were being invaded by 5 different countries and managed to keep from being wiped. Otherwise, each accomplishment, be it the 7 times I've been CP, 3 times as Secretary General, or the plethora of other things I've done all had their own shiny buttons for me.

jamesw: Being blamed for everything from stubbing your toe, to a hungarian army supplier being offline and the hungarians being unable to fight.

3. What country do you like and dislike the most in this game besides United Kingdom and why?

Dishmcds: I'm not sure I have a favorite outside the UK, although there are plenty I like. Serbians are pretty cool people, much like Macedons, even though they're both crazy as hell. Even Americans, Canadians, and EDENites in some instances have some good points. If I had to choose, I'd probably rank Serbia, Hungary, Macedonia, and Portugal (because they produced Arthk and LcfR) up there though.

jamesw: I think my favourite country is Serbia. They're huge, awesome, and even though they dont need to, love us. Worst, Island ofc!

4. If you could improve the relations between the eUK and another country in the new world, which one would it be?

Dishmcds: I'd definitely aim for Singapore. They're truly a world power, and we need to get closer. I would also like to find out what exactly a Bulgaria is. Foreign Media says it's a cool thing, but I can't seem to locate it.

jamesw: I would love to improve relations between the UK and poland. Its common sense to try and ensure you get on well with one of the greatest powers in the world. However, we mustn't forget france/germany in these talks.

5. In what order, by importance, would you put; Foreign Affairs, the Military and the Economy?

Dishmcds: As they're all interdependent, you can't really rank them. Foreign Affairs is largely based on where you are in the World, who your neighbours are, and what damage you can bring to the table (both resource wise and military wise). The Economy drives war, and the Military facilitates it. All three are basically interchangeable, which is why it's so hard to elect someone who has little experience in any of those fields.

jamesw: I would say that far and above, is everything. There are little changes that we must make to each area, which will lead to a net result which is really quite significant.

6. Is there a certain thing/area you’ll be focusing on extra if you are elected? If yes then what?

Dishmcds: I feel like we've slipped a bit on allowing the public to have their say, and I'm a very communicative person. We tend to mire in these situations where we allow Congress to have their say on things, then when something isn't accepted or liked by the public, we blame the way parties mobile vote and the "lack of democracy". I'd like to be more open to the public, allowing them to have their own say on our Foreign Affairs, and let them truly be a part of the decision making process.

jamesw: I have always been distracted by war. I would love, literally LOVE, if this month, i can spend the most of my time and efforts on domestic issues.

7. Write one sentence on why should people vote for you?

Dishmcds: I'm more experienced than any candidate, with a better, proven track record in providing both entertainment as well as stability and success.

jamesw: Why not?

And a few quick ones.

Current military structure or militias?

Dishmcds: Combination of both
jamesw: Current military structure.

France/Germany or Spain/Poland?

Dishmcds: France/Germany unless they decide to try and handcuff us
jamesw: France/germany ofc!

Irelan😛 War or Peace?

Dishmcds: War for now
jamesw: War.

Remain neutral or move towards an alliance?

Dishmcds: Remain neutral until the country is united in their decision
jamesw: I'm not fussed either way.

New and enthusiastic or old and knowledgeable?

Dishmcds: Why not old, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable?
jamesw: ideal is new and enthusiastic, but only so long as they are willing to listen to the experienced ones. Don't confuse "obey" with "listen to" though 😉

Hope you guys enjoyed it and do not forget to vote tomorrow!
