[Derp4PotUS] Building Up our Military Units

Day 3,357, 18:31 Published in USA USA by Derphoof

In August of this past year, Congress voted to defund the United States Armed Forces. It is now a privately run MU. This leaves us without a government-run military unit to train young soldiers, and to call upon for directed damage. We must rely on our private military units and work with them in order to strengthen our soldiers for better battlefield results.

We’ve used various programs in the past, such as Bank Up 2 Strength Up, the government run program to help each low-level player upgrade their training grounds. This helps to produce stronger soldiers on the battlefield and a stronger America.

However, there is only so much that our nation’s government can do to help our citizens. Each MU has it’s own unique culture, and it’s own way of running its organization. They are their own communities, and know how to best serve their members.

So, I propose we give them the opportunity to access resources for their soldier’s growth.

The current system for an MU to obtain government funding is outlined in our Constitution, via the Constitutional Appendix. It is an outdated document that was created, not to be functional, but to put up resentful roadblocks, after the US had been burned by citizens in the past.

It requires an MU to provide the following:

A listing of all communes and commune owners
A complete roster, including names, strength, and employment
Access to Live Orders
Requirement to direct damage towards daily priority battles, as set by the DoD

This is, quite frankly, an extremely intrusive system that many MU’s do not wish to engage in.

I propose to lead a drive to repeal this portion of the Constitution.

Having spoken to several MU’s, some have expressed interest in crafting their own development programs and obtaining funding, if the legislation was changed or repealed. Others have said that they would be more likely to request additional funding to help in times of crisis when National Defense is a priority.

It is my hope that by repealing this legislation, I may be able to work with the leadership of our top MU’s in order to help craft programs to help strengthen our citizens-soldiers, and our overall national defense as a result. Though any and all proposals would need to be approved and funded by Congress, I would work with Congress to fund these programs.

These MU’s know what their citizens need, and I aim to help them meet those needs. The government should be using its tax dollars effectively to promote the growth of the United States, not just hoarding it for large conflicts.

By repealing the legislation, and letting MU’s pitch their ideas to the Congress, we can help bolster our defense and make our tax dollars work for the people.
