My fellow Dutchmen and -women,

Words cannot express the amount of gratitude I have towards you, the people. I thank you sincerely for trusting me by electing me as President of the Netherlands for a second term. When I left this office after my first term, I asked you to fill in a survey to evaluate my presidency. This survey was answered by 10 citizens. The majority was quite positive, but there were also signals showing that the respondents were not well enough informed about the activities of my administration. The cause: not enough transparency.
The ideal situation would be that every ministry would post an article every once in a while. A remarkable fact is that last month a lot of governmental articles were published due to our war against the Mexicans. In my entire political carreer, I haven't seen as much activity as I've seen last month. Let us try to keep it that way as much as possible.
Defence
Now on to the real business. We have, with the help of our wonderfull allies, liberated ourselves from a dreadful enemy. Under the name Operation Antlantic Wall, the Dutch Military Units fought alongside the forces of our allies at ORION and Asteria to reconquer our lands from the Hispanics of North America. For that, the Netherlands shall always be gratefull towards those who helped us to reclaim our freedom.
But with that, Operation Atlantic Wall is not over yet. Our dearest sister nation France is still occupied by the aggressor Argentina. Our main military focus this month will be to help them to reconquer their territory, just like they helped us do the exact same thing. I have let the President of France know, through telegram, that we will be there for them.
Finances
As you may already know, our Emergency Funds are empty due to the war with Mexico. This hass led me to the decision to use 25% of the tax income to refill the EF, in case another aggressor poses a threat to our wonderfull community. Donations are, of course, also welcome. For that, contact the Minister of Finance.
Foreign Affairs
Due to budget cuts we will need to drop some of our Mutual Protection Pacts. This will not mean that we won't sign them again when they're absolutely neccesary. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will look closely in to which ones to drop and which ones to keep.
The last thing I want to announce, is the fact that I am running for the office of Secretary-General at ORION. Tomorrow at 12:00 ET, the alliance will hold a meeting in which the countries shall cast their vote for the new SG. If elected, I shall hold another speech explaining my plan for the coming term.
