[CP] End of term round up

Day 1,931, 22:19 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Joku Gones

Well, that was fun wasn’t it? For those of you who don’t know, the reason I’m doing this roundup is because I’ve handily usurped CP power in all but title due to real life taking up a bit too much of Rich’s time at the moment. The past few days have just been letting stuff tick over really, much like the remainder of the term. Whilst none of us would come out and hail this as a golden age, we had a nice peaceful month (at least in the shiny Gov offices and in terms of Foreign Affairs!) and we achieved what was set out to do with respect to the formation of the UKAF and the lack of budget draining. There’s not too much to report on but I’ve been unable to sleep and lab reports can pish right off!

So, let’s get to it!
MoD
The Ministry of Defence, I’m not afraid to say, has had an extremely admirable month. The recent trend has been bucked and articles were forthcoming and frequent which is a great success during peacetime and even better the UK Armed Forces group has been hashed together fully. The UKAF in its current incarnation represents 6 of the Military Units present in the UK who strive to work together and perform well, regardless of political affiliation of their members. A forum area for the commanders to organise the boring stuff has been set up and a social one is in the pipeline. As well as this, IRC channels are being setup to allow organisation and a spot of fun! Read all about the success of the second strike here!
Currently, the UKAF represents:
The Legion
Royal Navy
Royal Air Force
Tank Nation
Funky Militia
Prinny Squad

Also, don’t forget to keep up with the performance of your MU in the revamped MU league! Be the best that you can and see how you and your fellow MU allies can do!
I hope that next term can see a continuation of an active and organised MoD and would recommend that little changes next time.

MoF
The Ministry of Finance, headed up by Carlini again, carries on keeping a close eye on all of our financial matters. There isn’t much to report on, apart from the great news that Investment on the Monetary Market is back! Profits are small and steady but every little helps. That article will give you handy links to the rest of the reports issued this term and we can expect a final report soon.

MoH
Another case of ticking over and trotting along, the Ministry of Health continues its service to all players under level 29 who require a bit of food to keep them going! Apply here if you haven’t! After a rocky period due to some computer issues, the ministry and the NHS have done a stand up job and we owe gratitude to both the people who run it and those who donate, Hint hint! £1,000 a day isn’t easy but there’s very few causes as good as this!

MoLA
With a boring month stabilising after the reforms brought in by the previous administration there has been very little for the MoLA to do. Attempts to create a citizenship procedure that would be followed by everyone was met with a bit of...controversy to say the least. Asides from that there has been little to do, unsurprisingly this ministry appears to have been removed from cabinets for the next term.

MoHA
A quiet month, perhaps too quiet from our chief domestic office, stemming from a slight mix up in the spelling of ‘Foreign’ and ‘Home’ (Note to self, run next CP campaign on literacy) there has still been a few cogs whirring away. You may have noticed a couple of competitions popping up and have hopefully stumbled across the rejuvenated Library Project! Check it out for some handy tips and guides for your time in erepublik.

MoFA
Carrying on the trend of MoFA’s getting ill during their terms started by myself back at the start of the year, our beloved Jimbojoy has unfortunately taken ill. The slack has been picked up, thankfully, by a Guide to Foreign Affairs from the popular series by Betafoxtrot. Our vCP Talon Karrde has kept up the usual backroom chatting away to friends and the like which I’m not really at liberty to discuss but rest assured that laurels remain unsat upon and tangible results will begin to appear down the line. Wayne Kerr has also been doing his thing, looking after our ambassadors who’ve popped overseas to say hello to our friends and neighbours and doing his usual idle chatting to those looking for information.

Well, that’s pretty much it. Remember today is election day so use your power to vote. Last month was a very close nail biter between me and Rich, this month is shaping up to look interesting already! Let’s see if we can top the 666 votes from last time and look forward to another good month ahead. Both of the front running candidates have named me as vCP in their cabinets so I will be assisting in the smooth transition between terms. Please remember to go read the manifestos, articles and election analysis before voting and then put your support behind the person you think is best for the job! Best of luck to all candidates (Except that dastardly Chaz, far too fun for us) and a friendly reminder to vote, comment and shout this article!
