[bowen199] Domestic Manifesto - This is Switzerland

Day 1,563, 13:08 Published in Switzerland United Kingdom by bowen199

The Swiss community is a lovely community to be apart of. We are not the largest of countries or even the most powerful. What makes us unique is the cohesiveness of our small community.

It is vital that we have an active and striving community. I have carefully considered what the role of the government should be in bringing about positive change. Here I will detail how the ministries involved with domestic affairs will focus on meeting the needs of those who are new or old to the Switzerland.

Ministry of Entertainment

The Ministry of Entertainment will be a new ministry created to promote fun! While other aspects of the game are important, by placing an emphasis on entertainment, we bring our community even closer together. The MoEnt will focus on engaging newer citizens as well as older citizens regardless of party or military unit.

Ministry of Information

The Ministry of Information will be geared towards our newer citizens. Articles will be published explaining various topics of the game, especially crucial aspects of the game such as military conflicts, the economy, and other areas which are usually rarely understood. And so, this is where I firmly believe that the MoI will be able to help our community. In addition, wiki pages relating to Switzerland will be maintained by the MoI. Keeping citizens informed will ensure that they are aware of current events, the game mechanics and are able to take part more confidently.

Ministry of Interior Affairs

The Ministry of Interior Affairs will also take on new responsibilities, namely recruitment, the constitution, as well as the task of standardising ministry articles. In addition, the MoIA will continue to manage all citizenship applications. We have seen many countries achieve their babybooms in the past and we too can have our growth spurt with some effort. Thus, the MoIA will look into innovative ways of attracting new citizens to Switzerland. The Swiss constitution on the other hand has been left on a whim for far too long. By giving the MoIA the responsibility of keeping congress and the rest of government in check, this will emphasise the importance of the constitution. And that brings me to the standardisation of government articles. There are many ways of keeping citizens informed (eg. ministry banners) of what and where government articles can be located as well as making official articles easily identifiable. In the last few months, the MoIA has managed immigration successfully and I anticipate that by keeping this responsibility as a function of the MoIA, it will truly benefit the Swiss community, and more importantly, reducing the risk of PTOs!

In conclusion, these changes are intended to generate a greater overall enjoyment and better government structure. I hope you share my vision for a better Switzerland. The next article in this series leading up to the March 2012 Country President Elections, will be my economic manifesto.
