Having a job is mandated. Accept the first (highest paying) job on the list.. You can always change jobs later for reasons other than cash in hand. If you look down the job list a few pages you will see a large number of set wage and minimum wage jobs. These jobs are compensated in a variety of ways by handshake deals between the owners and the employees. Your MU (military unit), your party, a fellow citizen, all may have systems of job compensation better than the highest paid job on the list. Which job you work is more often socially determined and about your group or who you know or your ideology. Shout out to EZ Company. When you have a job, get a residence (in Richmond, Virginia) and buy a house. Houses supply Overtime Points (they accumulate) which allow you to push the Overtime button and get paid for it The arithmetic of a house is simple. Is the payoff for overtime work for 7 days (basic lifespan of a house) greater than the cost of the house. The residence city and house(s) also gives other benefits, increasing your energy pool and the Recover Energy rate. That your residence location should be in Virginia are explained in the next article #3.

The eUSA currently has welfare/incentive programs. CRAP, GIMP and maybe more. Your MU may have a program. Your party may have a program. A fellow citizen may have a program. These programs are there to allow you a leg up to the benefit of the whole eUSA. Grab that free stuff..

With cash you can buy gold. Many buys and upgrades require gold. There is a purchase limit of 10 gold per day. You can get gold by winning an achievement Trophy which pays gold.. Some achievements are within your reach.. For example, with low influence it is a good time to fight for 50 other countries without affecting anybody's plans. The Resistance War trophies are not difficult to obtain. Check them out.

You began with farms and a food factory. Work-as-manager is allowed in addition to a job (it did not used to be that way). In order to work-as-manager you must create a holding company. Your location when creating the Holding Company should be Virginia. Again the significance of this location is explicated in the next article, #3. Please read it before creating your holding company.

Long ago there was a currency marketplace that was tons 'o fun and could be very profitable (or not). For some players that market was half the game. Now every cc is equal and if in the future you get a license(20 gold)to sell in other countries markets, the after tax sales revenue will come to you as USD.
