Proud/Horny Interview with Yui MHCP001

Day 4,692, 11:36 Published in USA Chile by Wilker Nath

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a special interview for you today! It’s the person everyone keeps forgetting to remove from #oval-office access on the national discord server, the self-titled “executive ornament”, Yui MHCP001, better known as Yui!

This one comes with great timing too, because of his recent announcement of a *possible* Resource Wars CP run.

But before we get into all this, here's some music:

Hello Yui, thanks for coming on the show today.
For my first question, I could ask you a number of questions about your service to the country, or about a number of alliances past or present. But instead, I’ll start off with a little detail I noticed on your profile. Under your pfp, there is a little icon indicating you are a former Plato Foundation board member. That intrigues me, please tell us about it.

I was actually one of the "Founder" Board Members, since I was selected for the first month. The Plato Foundation's goal was for Plato to fund in-game projects made by citizens. It was a nice idea, and I was a bit too critical of it after its first few months. I still think it should've expanded to allow out-of-game activities that were tied into eRepublik somehow, but now it's a moot point as I believe the Plato Foundation is no longer active.

And, if you don’t mind my asking, next to that icon is another one with an M on it. Hovering over it didn’t give me any info, but I assume it means you are an official erepublik moderator. Tell us about that role, and how you came to get it.

You would be correct. I am a eRepublik Moderator, and have been for almost 4 years now, with a break for a few months in 2019. The way I got into it started during Resource Wars 2016. When they initially announced the early information for the event, I had a lot of questions, and messaged Gucio, one of the employees of eRepublikLabs, about it. While I didn't get any more information than any regular citizen did, throughout the event we messaged back and forth, and I believe it was my hounding of Gucio that led me to the opportunity of becoming a eRepublik Moderator. All I do currently is respond to English tickets that are sent via the in-game report buttons.

Now onto actual gameplay questions. You are a former SG of CODE, an alliance which the eUS recently left. How did that job go? Did you enjoy it? And when, in your professional opinion, did that alliance start going downhill?

My job as CODE SG was a short one. I think I have the record for the shortest tenure of an elected SG. I had every intention of improving CODE in any way I could, however inter-alliance conflict that had existed before I became SG came to a head, and USA decided to leave just a few days after I was elected. While some people in CODE said they were happy to keep me on as SG, I thought it would be a conflict of interest , and made it clear that they needed to find a replacement ASAP. As far as when the alliance started going downhill, I'm not sure.

Among all your other accomplishments, you are also a former CP. Can you tell us a bit about your terms, and how they went?

My 2 CP terms came as a result of my performance during Resource Wars 2016, where myself and others in the eUSA government secured 19/20 resources for the eUSA. I was riding high, and decided that then would be a great time to ascend to the highest national position.

I decided for my first term that I would not do too much. After all, the eRepublik staff had announced some new changes, such as the new Aircraft battlefield. That proved to be foolish, however, as the changes didn't come until the end of my first term. It wasn't all a loss though, as during the last 10 days of my first term, we invaded Spain with our friends at the time: Poland, Hungary, Argentina, and Portugal. My second term focused more on assisting allies. We helped free some of Latvia's cores from Lithuania, and helped Brazil and Argentina repel an FYROM/Bulgaria invasion. Then as my last act as President, we invaded the United Kingdom, all because they had made a law saying their National MU fund would go to elected Congressmen at a rate of 5 gold a month. That was really fun.

Overall, looking back, I'm not happy at how my terms went. I wish I had done more, especially on the domestic side. Maybe I'll be CP again someday...😉

As decorated as your record is, I’ve hit you with like 3 tough questions already, so I think I’ll give you a break and move onto something lighthearted.
How long ago did you join the Fed party, and why did you join?

I love the Feds. Minus a few months stint in 2015/2016 (if memory serves), I've been in the Feds for my entire eLife, dating back to 2009. No party in my eyes matches up to what the Feds have been able to accomplish throughout its history. Plus Paul Proteus helped me with a college project, so I'm basically indebted to him forever.

And last but not least, a question I love asking, what is your Proudest&Horniest Fed party memory?

A memory I've been remembering more often lately is the time where Sunshine (not sure what they're known as now) stole 2 million CC from Oblige through WTP's activity reward system. The Feds then ran Sunshine for Congress, and the President of WTP at the time, Hale26, posted an article criticizing the Feds. In response, the President of the Feds, Tenshibo, did his Tenshibo thing, and verbally smacked Hale and the WTP party. You can read Tenshibo's article here: https://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-feds-facts-2599553/1/20. It was quite the hoot.

Yui, thank you for answering all these questions, and thank you so much for everything you do for this country. I salute you, as do the rest of us o>

Thanks for the interview

And there we have it!
This is not the last article I have planned before congress elections, so stay tuned for more! In the meantime, here’s some music:
