You will find that members of PCP voted for Zaphod instead of Jockson so the result is not entirely surprising - at least within PCP it isn't. Zaphod is a much more experienced guy who would be the best bet if SHA did another disappearing act and Congress decided to impeach. You shouldn't take the numbers at face value just so they fit your prejudices.

You're inferring meaning from data to support your prejudices (kinda pointed out for you before making the comment). You watch the votes come in and the supporting % rise and fall for candidates, you're inferring/assuming intent. We don't have an enforced vote, the party recommendation is just that. I chose to follow the party promoted candidate, as that made most sense to me. Other people declared how they were voting, internally before voting even began, not that it's required.
