Code 2020

Day 4,424, 13:02 Published in Ireland Ireland by Releasethe Krakken

First off . I see Plato implemented at last buy multiple factories some of the changes I advocated for in articles. I no longer have to duplicate my tabs and count each of the 50 factories I buy(schlep)

I know it may be a bit late

From an article I read it seems our code is disorganized 😃

.

As I see it the reason alliances is mostly unsuccessful is:

1. Big Countries always want to fight too much battles.

*2. Because most countries fight against their alliance mates in battles perhaps Plato should start reviewing some of the effects of battles. After all not all conquest on ancient times meant one could not have factories in that country [cough cough uk uk]in fact the Uk was built on colonialism and most of their industries drew massively from subjugating smaller countries. in short warfare had for most colonizers a positive economic effect. So its kinda illogical to every time we engage in warfare punish factory owners. And to stop production in regions of the countries. For example we are fighting in Alaska why would I not in the normal course of life be able to have my factories in Kentucky operational. I think at the start yes certainly contributed to gameplay but with the invention of holding companies , why do this anymore. It detracts from gameplay and really make certain countries no go zones (the usa) for training wars with no real joy, fun or purpose for it in the game? Yes we cant produce in the USA no more no war leader ever screamed. Yes in real life engaging in warfare would have a direct cost in real life but there is trading embargoes for that.

- The we cant work in factories one is redundant. Perhaps just nerf bonuses with a slight percentage or scrap that effect of wars. Why discourage warfare in a game with a war module?

- Similarly algorithm out the MPP cancellation upon warfare with an alliance member.

3. The problem I see as well its always a small group of people that is in charge of an alliance. If you put enough people together for an extended time in a small conversation group there is bound to be friction. Or disinterest or inactivity.

*4. More should be done to promote alliance unity. What about direct alliance wars. In short allow alliances to make proposals and declare natural alliance enemies . Make direct war proposals and call airstrikes on either a single country or whole alliance. Think world war 2 it was the Axis alliance versus the Allies. Similarly unifying alliance fights might improve the game tremendously. In fact I would say one should be able to declare war/airstrike multiple targets in one proposal. Whenever I code and write code that is clumsy I go back to the basics and build in small units till I remove the clumsiness in my code. Not necesarrily stubs but yes simpler code. Similarly, alliances are simply put clumsy. One cannot have unity if everyone has his own seperate interest and there is not a commonality in purpose and action.

* This is ideas I think Plato should implement

Anyway happy 2020 and here is some music

Song 1 the youtube link did not work so follow the url link. Song 2 and 3 the youtube links worked on my side so enjoy.

Mango Groove - Special Star
Great Tin Whistle solo

This is great african music as well its weird how music evolved in different continents. Almost like Darwin's discovery of completely different specimen of a certain species on different islands near Australia .

Sipho Hotstix Mabusa - Burn Out

Sweet Disposition - Temper Trap
