Hi kids!

In case you are unaware, I've been around for awhile. I wasn't here for Beta but I recall old timers telling stories. It'll be 10 years in November.

I was poking around, looking for something else and found an article that made me smile. If you're not interested in nostalgia then listen to some Springsteen and take off.

Blast From The Past

52, lol, now I'm 60.

Anyhow, I was quite the active player back in the day. Almost makes me wish I'd have kept a journal. I don't even remember writing this.

Several names in the comments. I've been blessed with many interesting acquaintances while playing eRep. I learned a lot, from people both far and near. Closest were two brothers from St. Louis. About 200 miles from here so I drove up and had dinner with one. Farthest is from Turkey. Odd enough, when covid19 calms down she's coming to the U.S. to visit her brother, he lives on the East Coast. She intends to come visit me possibly next Summer.

It's always been the people that make me come back. 😄

Well, here 'tis!

One thing I ask is you post all comments here. I won't respond in the old article. Most of the comments there are from dead players. I'd like to leave it the way I found it.

One note, back then they didn't have "reply", You replied in a new comment. See somethings are better now!

Sometimes I go post a comment in old articles. And sometimes i get the alert someone voted or replied to my comment, months and months later.

I find it odd when someone replies to a comment I made 2 years ago on an article I don't remember that was written by another someone I don't recall.

I graduated PQ University with honours.
I'm chaired in Pickles. lol

Interesting tidbit, I left the UIP party to join the SFP for a couple months as ambassador. I wrote a few articles, created some images and assisted with day to day chores. Ya know, I did a lot of unconventional things back then. I even impress myself. 😆

i've seen you in the past mr dillpickl, and i always liked your cool posts, your funny articles and your awesome attitude.
you were also legendary in e-switzerland, back when you, rican, mungos032 and myself fought in the e-swiss resistance VS various invaders, from the e-slovenians to the e-romanian MU nemesis, that took e-swizerland by a storm, and we all slowly but steadily kicked them out of our e-land....

good times.

as for your article,
i like reading about older articles too, and its nice to observe the thoughts and views of someone in the game, regarding old game mechanics, or old events (new at the time), old drama and epic spam posts...

Shame I left the Swiss in such a huff. Those kids drove me nuts.
