[WRP] – The Challenges of the eUK

Day 1,815, 10:12 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Huey George
Who are the WRP?

The Workers’ Rights Party is a political party which strives to see the eUK is full of dedicated, active and well-informed citizens supported by their government. We are dedicated to ensuring equality and enhancing society for all eUK citizens. We trust the people tempered by prudence, this separates us from a lot of the other parties of the eUK who dis-trust the people tempered by fear. At the heart of our party is fairness, free-thinking and creativity.

The challenges

The Workers’ Rights Party believes the eUK needs to address the five challenges outlined below.

- Increase the proportion of citizens who can support themselves and contribute to society without direct aid to fight or recovery energy.

- Improved the economy of the eUK leading to higher wages for all and better prices for goods.

- Continue supporting the publication of in-game media/newspapers which has become more active and inclusive

- Improve in-game media/newspapers so it becomes a better forum for debate, using it for wider consultation and referendum to form policy.

- Ensure the eUK remains a fun and inclusive society

Challenge 1 & 2 in more detail;

Our economy remains in a poor state, with a military and ministries reliant of philanthropist’s donations. The WRP would like to see reforms to our economy that help all citizens stand tall and share burdens together. Impossible! some may claim however the WRP believe otherwise.

Our economy can be improved if we;

- Increase the import tax on weapons. - This means the weapons used in the eUK is more likely to be from the eUK market and more likely to be produced in the eUK by its companies and citizens.
- Increase import tax on weapons and food raw materials. - This would increase the cost of weapon and food manufacturing causing less weapons and food to be made.
- Reduce Income tax to encourage spend, Less to the Government, more to the hard worker.
- Reduce the VAT on weapons and food. Less to the Government, more to the hard worker.
- Discourage black-market trade and eUK citizens moving abroad to produce their weapons for resource bonuses only to distribute them back in the eUK; this does not help the eUK.

Current low wages, weapon and food prices means, if you’re not a big producer you are effectively a slave. True freedom means choosing your own path with fair wages not queuing for government or philanthropists’ handouts, or chanting monosyllabic slogans.

The eUK should be a strong liberal independent population proud to stand side by side in unity not divided by who can best support the people.

Challenge 3, 4 & 5

Currently in-game communication is good at informing the public what the government has decided however performs less well at responding to feedback and stimulating debate. Government policy tends to be Decide, Announce and Defend.

It can also be hard for good articles published by younger players to be seen because of vote buying. Finally past governments have also tended to encourage use of external forums over in-game communication when both could be promoted evenly.

We could improve our society if;

- Government adopts a policy of Announce, Discuss and Decide with key decisions debated in public and referendums held, allowing us all to take ownership of them.
- We stop vote buying – Fairly impossible however if parties forming government or parties with the ambition to form government could take a morale stance to not buy votes for their own articles or to promote articles of their colleagues.
- We all encourage eUK citizens to read in-game newspapers
- Government better highlights when policies and thinking have been altered by public opinion.

The eUK can be a fairer society where we all encourage free-thinking and creativity with fantastic debate.

How can you help?

Join the Workers’ Rights Party – Together we can work towards these goals

Read, comment on and vote articles published in the media via in-game newspaper more often.

Play independently and think, don’t measure your loyalty on the amount of weapons and energy you are supplied with.

The Workers' Rights Party wants to return the true power of the eUK to its citizenship and believe the government can act as better servants of the people rather than masters.
