Training Grounds Contract
As you may have noticed on your homepage, for a limited time only you can enter into a training ground contract to help reduce the cost of training for a 30 day period. Be warned however, this is not always helpful in all situations. Kravenn has written a good article here which will save you manually calculating profitability.

Country President election campaigns beginning
On the 5th of every month, every citizen has the ability to cast a vote on who they believe will best lead their country for the next 30 days. The country president elections are typically the largest, with the most invested into media campaigns and advertising. Keep an eye on the news in your country and vote for the person you think will best represent your interests. If you are interested in becoming a country president, mittekemuis has put together a detailed checklist here on skills and experience you will need to be run a successful campaign.

The World is Ours
The World is Ours (TWO) has recently announced a new event, an eWorld Cup for member nations, orchestrated by their new deputy minister of foreign affairs, Ayame Crocodile. The matches will be played through an online game called “Haxball” which is a simulated soccer match. To keep up with the games, subscribe to Ayame Crocodile’s newspaper here.

Circle of Trust
Circle of Trust has recently decided to launch large offensives in multiple locations around the world. First, they took on Hungary and managed to liberate a number of regions. The alliance has now set its sights on Serbia and has started resistance wars in many of their holdings. While both battles are not quite decisive, Circle of Trust did appear to be making ground with their offensive, however a number of counter offensives have been launched by TWO.

Australia
Indonesia’s war with Australia rages on, with little ground being given on either side. Since our last report, Indonesia has been able to obtain another region from Australia. Australia has been focusing it’s efforts on recruiting and retaining newer players and had made reforms to their state sponsored military unit (the ADF) and social services (such as Centrelink). Many new players have been welcomed into congress and Australia hopes incorporating these fresh faces will help increase activity and thus combat ability.

South Africa
While things did look promising for South Africa just before the elections, they were unable to hold onto any regions in time to elect a congress. A region is leased to Russia with a few others occupied by Argentina and Uruguay with negotiations under way to have them returned. Their only open front is with Brazil, who took South Africa's remaining regions just before congress elections. South Africans however remain quite upbeat and the government is putting in a lot of work to keep citizens positive and excited about the future.

Czech Republic
The Czech Republic’s minister of foreign affairs, Jankhos is working closely with their neighbours to maintain peace and stability in the region. Three mutual protection pacts are up for renewal, Slovakia, Poland and Serbia. The former has already been signed and Jankhos has informed the government of the latter two that he believed Czech Republic has abided by the terms of their peace agreement.

Canada
The deal we recently reported on, between the Canadian and Spanish government has been completed, with the Canadians regaining control of former regions. With a congress successfully elected, Canada has started to focus more on internal matters. Congress’ first act was to leave their current alliance ASGARD, which successfully passed. Not long after, a presidential impeachment was proposed which failed. As their third order of business they lowered the work tax from the crippling 25% down to 1%. Some members of the public were disappointed that the work tax changes took so long to propose, however all can agree they are glad they finally came.

Serbia
Serbia is currently the target of a large offensive initiated by the alliance, Circle of Trust. While they have lost a number of their holdings around the world, they do still have a large number of territories remaining. While support from their alliance TWO hasn’t been as strong as anticipated, Serbia is the second most populated country in game and capable of dealing a fair bit of damage on their own.

USA
With America successfully regaining a number of regions, public confidence and activity has skyrocketed. Many formerly dormant newspapers have been dusted off with many semi active players returning full time. Serbia has been removed almost entirely from North America. However, Poland has recently launched attacks on the USA and has been successful in obtaining a number of regions.

Poland
Poland has been successful in containing a number of resistance wars on conquered territory. However, their main focus has been on the regions recently reclaimed by the USA from Serbia. Poland has been successful in obtaining a number of regions from the USA and it appears they will be taking a number more.

Cyprus & Greece
Relations have been tense with Greece for some time now and until recently Cyprus was completely occupied by Greece. Cyrpus has recently been able to regain their territory and both nations have declared each other natural enemies, with Greece launching another attack onto Cyprus. The attack was unsuccessful, with Cyprus aided by their defence shield from the recent competition. Cyprus then launched an attack on Greek territory with the battle currently under way.

Republic of Macedonia
With Greek attention diverted in their war against Cyprus, Macedonia started a resistance war to regain a region currently controlled by Greece. The resistance war was successful, however it was a few days too late to allow Macedonia to elect a congress.

Philippines
Spirits were high recently with the Philippines able to regain all their core territory and elect a congress after many months of being wiped from the map. However, this situation was short lived with their territory being quickly conquered by Pakistan. However, Pakistan allowed the Philippines to hold onto enough territory to elect a congress before conquering them.

North Korea
Recently, North Korea was able to regain a single region from China, which allowed them to elect a congress. They have been successful in retaining this region and are since attempting to secure more territory.

Argentina
With Brazil’s attention focused elsewhere, Argentina has conquered a number of regions from their northern neighbour, Brazil.

Brazil
Holding on to only a few core regions in their homeland, Brazil has since focused on securing their holdings in South Africa. With a number of their allies in TWO focused on other battles around the world, Brazil has been focusing on rallying as much internal support as they can.

Slovakia and Czech Republic
Both nations have voted overwhelmingly to continue their mutual protection pacts, as both nations share common opponents both governments believed it would work strongly in their favour.

France
France recently rented a region from Russia which allows them to elect a congress. There isn’t a clear direction on the future France will take, with the north of their country controlled by Poland and the South by Serbia. With Serbia’s position weakening around the round, France has jumped on the opportunity to attempt to reclaim some of regions occupied by Serbia.
