I do not know.... if the articles in the newspaper are true, but you know, where there's smoke there's fire.
Peace or Atlantis this is not a question. The question is the Union or not?
Chicco lead the Austria into Germany.. but there was never a pool what the Austrian people wanted.
And with who they want an union. Even if Chicco wants to go into Atlantis as our "former" president most Austrian people want to stay or better to say Rejoin Peace.
So if Germany decided to join Atlantis, this is the end of the Union. But i trust some people in our government that will take the right action. I hope there is only smoke and no fire.

What it hurts me most is not that Germany people wants to go into Atlantis buts its Chicco, he is our former president... and like i see it he is selling Austria to atlantis. As he is the man source of Peace Anti Propaganda.
It hurts me when i am reading the newspaper full of Atlantis Propaganda and Peace Anti-Propaganda. If i would only read the newspaper here in Germany and would not be here over 1 year. I would think Peace invaded Germany, France attacked USA,Spain,UK,Sweden.

Ehm... i believe Chicco appears to be angry at the stall in progress with hungary, but i dont see as to how joining the opposing alliance would regain Burgenland for the Austrians... in fact, wouldnt this prompt a hungarian invasion of the rest of Austria? If we're to depend on Atlantis for the defence, i dont see anything working out as USA seems to have enough problems fighting the Mexicans, and Sweden... I dunno about Sweden. Im still a bit iffy about the terms of entering Atlantis regarding SH. I completely believe in either an ESA or neutrality for germany, as i see joining either alliance as being a death knell for Germanys expansion as a power in the world. I just dont know how joining either alliance would allow for Germanys full representation as a player on the world stage.

Everyone that suggests joining ATLANTIS acknowledges the fact that we would lose Austria (probably more in my opinion). It is beyond me why anyone would suggest joining ATLANTIS. Burgenland isn't a big deal when compared with Schleswig-Holstein.
I pledged to myself not to get involved in these threads again. For weeks now I've been regurgitating the same unambiguous facts, the same incontrovertible arguments. I don't expect anyone to agree with the conclusions I have drawn from these. I do, however, believe that anyone with half a brain should be able to at least see where I'm coming from.
I only want to say two things to Metallon very briefly. First, I asked you some time ago whether the Bundeswehr could use your "Bundesheer" account. You could have simply asked me for the 7 gold it takes to create an ORG and a newspaper, and I would have reimbursed you. We can still reimburse you for the account, if you like. I do need to add, however, that I never asked you to create that account in the first place. In fact, the Austrian army had at least 4 ORG accounts from Mappina times.
Second, your outrage at Germany-Austria deciding between PEACE and Atlantis may or may not be justified. I never had any allegiance to PEACE. I never felt any animosity toward Atlantis. That is simply my very personal history in this game. Your personal history may well differ from mine, and you are obviously free to express your opinion.
It does make me wonder, however, why you never expressed a similar outrage over Hungary threatening to invade us, violating a contract they signed with us, and ultimately stealing Burgenland from us. It also makes me wonder why you never expressed dismay at PEACE not showing even an ounce of sympathy with how we were being abused by Hungary. I regret to say that for these reasons your protest rings rather hollow with me.

And Chicco I am not upset about the Gold, i just wanted to say i belived in Austria soo much and thats why i took my own gold for it 🙂
Metallon, the problem is: you trust their assurances, I don't. We signed a contract with Hungary in good faith. It contained no penalties. Quicksilver assured us that Hungary could be trusted. She told us that they have even cut deals with their arch enemy Romania without written contract. Now see where this trust got us: violation of contract, the annexation of Burgenland, and undisguised threats to invade even more of our territory. How can you possibly expect me to trust their assurances? You know how they say: fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
In light of this history it is only reasonable for Germany-Austria to demand a new contract guaranteeing the return of Burgenland if we join PEACE. Obviously, this contract would need to have steep penalties drawn on the Hungarian treasury. Although I am not directly involved in the negotiations, I hear that Hungary has rejected this demand. PEACE officials call it "ridiculous" and question my sanity. So there you go.
If Hungary really intended to return Burgenland, why not agree to such a contract? They stand nothing to lose. In my opinion, their refusal to sign a contract containing penalty clauses proves their intent to violate it yet again.

Indonesia is only interested in more cannonfodder to use in order to gain for territory for themselves. PEACE is the extension of Indonesian imperialism, paid with Gold created from exploiting bugs in the game.
So if Germany-Austria joins PEACE, can countries like Belgium, Denmark, the Czech Republic and others expect a German invasion of their countries? Will Germany-Austria succumb to power games played by the Indonesian Empire and conquer or take-over smaller and weaker neighbouring nations for the glory of PEACE?
I wonder how much the German-Austrian government is getting paid by Indonesia to steer this country to PEACE slavery? I hope the bribes are high enough, because you will need the Gold once the country has been ruined by PEACE dominance. It is a shame the people do not get to share in the wealth German-Austrian Party-Presidents and government officials receive to betray their country and their loyal voters. It is a shame that once again only a handful will profit from joining PEACE, and that the rest of the German-Austrian citizens is left to fend for themselves.

It will be wise for Austria and Germany to stay united. This could scare off foreign businesses (like myself) and lead to manipulation from either side to the detriment of both countries.
Here we see a simple matter. PEACE propaganda and ATLANTIS propaganda playing out.
We all have our opinions which mask the true colors, there is nothing stopping you from making a personal move to where you think it is best. However, if you continue to live in a certain country you have to trust the goverment. And among the ranks of goverment there is Chicco, so show some kind of trust in a man who only wants what is best for the country. Even if he may be wrong.
