What to do in eNorway - wish you where here!

Day 3,770, 10:06 Published in Norway Norway by Zinitus

To be Viking and eNorwegian is a hard full time work, not a nine to five job. But there are still some spare time with possibilities to do some recreational activities. If you want to visit eNorway, and want to seek true experiences, you can join a eNorwegian in his leasure time. It can be a remembered moment. We shall present some alternatives for you here.

Going by bike:
Why not see Nord-Norge by bicycle, see the midnight sun, visiting small fisher villages, breath the fresh air and meet the lush northerns? In summer this is a 24/7 activity, not hindered by the dark and snowfalls (most of the days at least). Bicycling in this region will give you a close contact with the nature, and not at least, the breathtaking landscape

Bicycling into the sunset.

Going by skies:
If you are arriving in winter, you can use your balancing skills to take some nice trips on skiing. Can you image yourself, the sound of skiing through the the powder snow, with the fresh winter air in your face and lungs. If you are lucky, you might also see the Aurora Borealis, topping the event. And of course, after skiing, you have to join the traditional After Ski Parties.

By the way: In the upper leftern corner you see my birth place

Hiking in the mountains
If you don’t like bicycling or skiing, why not use your feets in a traditional way, by hiking in the mountains. Following the former eNorwegian doing trips in the mountains, looking for their sheeps, a moose to eat, some moss to the next party, or simply to enjoy the view from some spectacular mountain tops, here an example from Stetind, our National Mountain (also called the anvil of Gods”!
The easiest way to the top

Doing things together:
In the later years, in the age of globalization the Norwegians has get influenzed, and used, to do something together, and not only wandering in the Norwegian landscape all alone, seeking solitude and contemplation. Today, in fact, we do see groups (!) of Norwegians. Why not join those groups, and get some new friends? “You never walk alone” these days, if you don’t want to.

Sea activities:
If you don’t like the hights, why don’t try to do something by the sea? Modern Vikings know how to do it in a more individual way too. They not only travel by sea in flocks in a longship. Here we see an example from the Lofoten islands. And as you see, it`s not limited to the summer seasons, it`s also possible to do in winter too (NB: it`s highly recommended to wear something more than swimming trunks on these occations, both winter and summer).

Well, here we have presented some activities to do. As you see, it`s something for everybody. Hope you will be visting us soon, we shall welcome you. And dont forget the Viking After Ski Party then!
