What party to choose?
Lord of Bones
Hi everybody!
Firstly let me introduce myself as I am very new to this game, My real life name is Mark and this is my first time playing such a browser game and I must say I am mightily impressed with the friendly advice and conversations I have shared with some of you.
I joined a few weeks ago and chose a random military unit (Royal Navy) but I have been well looked after! I want to thank the guys for the friendly advice they have shared with me. The cost of living is difficult so I have purchased the starter pack to help and I am investing in my training grounds. I think I've made the right start?
Anyway my only concern has been choosing a political party. I have been reading the media and trying to keep tabs on current events. However I have noticed that not many parties have actually advertised what they stand for? and without knowing goals and targets I am finding it a difficult task making a decision.
So I wanted to hear it from the horses mouth so to speak. What party are you in and what are your goals and aims?
Finally, I have a mission to make 100 Friends so please feel free to add me and say hello.
Thanks for reading! LOB

Personally I would choose ESO, although they are not as large they are probably as active as many of the top 5 parties. ESO stands for Every Single One, so you can guess who we represent. ESO is a very fun party. Note: I would never be bias!
Seriously, politics is not as good in this game as it used to be. Joining any specific party is probably not going to be "better" as none of them stand for anything unique anymore. You might want to spend some time in each party to see what they are like, some are more active or hold party competitions so you may prefer them. If you want to get involved in politics to become more powerful (Congress, Party President, Country President, etc) then you might want to choose one of the largest parties, but I think being active is far more beneficial as most parties will probably place you high on the Congress list if you are an active, new player. Long story short, it doesn't matter too much, I'd recommend trying out different parties for a few days.
And about training grounds, yeah, upgrading them as soon as possible is the best thing to do. The free one first!
Thank you Cheetah for the kind advice.
Considering most of our active members get Congress seats anyway, join ESO?
Yeah, at least a third of our active members have Congress seats 🙂
Welcome Lord of Bones into the game and in the New World.I have to agree on advice which gave you my good old friend Cheetah Curtis and I am taking this adventage to send him my regards and best wishes for obtaining the congressmember role as best as he can.
Now some thougths advices which I want to give you Lord of Bones:
If you want to participate in the politics,to be in the Congress,be candidate for CP etc it"s far better to develop your carreer in some of the TOP 5 Parties, for examp: Worker Right Party valuing activness of the membership, fighting for democracy and fairness, decency and are for all members wheather they are newbies, youngers or the experienced ones. Also WRP are for the wellbeing of the UK and players/workers.All decisions are democraticly bringing.
As concerning of training,TRAIN before anything Lord of Bones, more streingth you will gain if you train more. When is discount of TG it"s 45% less costs every first week of the month and you have to follow that and when it"s begin discount immidiately upgrade your TG.As Cheetah said the free one first to upgrade. Also I"ve advised you that you should first gain streingth than it will come other things which will you be interested in.
If you decide to join WRP you will be the most welcome and please messaged me before you join to help you with everything you need.Greetings
Alex Popovic
Wow never knew about a 45% discount? How do I qualify for this?
Thanks for all your advice Alex.
@Lord of Bones you"ll see it on the begining of the main pain,on the top of the main page with "Weekly Leaderboard Competition"
It's an offer that comes around every now and again. never buy anything unless Plato has stuck an offer on including companies.
The guys in Royal Navy should be able to advise you on how to set up your account for maximum effect. Also, never struggle for stuff. If you are active enough and nice enough people will give you gold,cc, food and tanks if you ask.
I too recommend ESO/WRP, I joined the WRP when I first joined, and I'm still there. The two parties work together, so although being in the top five is necessary for Congress, there are arrangements between the two to get one or two ESO members into Congress. Having said that, you don't have to be in Congress to enjoy the game, I've never stood!
Best of luck in the game, hope you enjoy it.
Thanks JQXZ
Then again, if he is active and wants to get into congress, UKPP is infamous for putting newer players forward for congress before they are probably experienced enough in the game - much to the irritation of other parties 😃D
I think you have to join a party for one of the early missions so join any one to complete the mission and leave as soon as possible.
All the parties are essentially the same and none of them are worth much
Welcome!
Voted and shouted the link to this article, I hope you keep up the article writing. I support what Cheetah Curtis said. It would be cool to have you in ESO but look around and chose the party that feels right for you.
All parties are the same, spend a bit of time in each one and see which one floats your boat.
I would personally recommend the UKRP as the Party of choice - it is the oldest party in eUK and has produced more Country Presidents than any other Party in the history of eUK. It also has a reputation for level-headedness and cooperation with other Parties (remember that in Erepublik it is always better to work together).
The UKRP helped Max Blue and other ESO candidates get into Congress this month - ang will continue to strive to make eUK a stronger and friendly place to live!
about training grounds(TG) it's better to wait until a TG offer comes(it gives 45% discount on upgrading TG so it will be good to wait one)
it's much preferred to max upgrade all TG and after that, wait for TG contract that comes monthly which will give a 90% cost discount that cost 53g.
also never build/buy companies, just focus on upgrading all TG.
Thanks Luke, this is my plan!
will you become my successor in div 1? coz I'll leave div 1 soon...
It's all about the UKPP who has been helping young players grow through mentoring programmes for years! Drop me a message if you need any help 🙂
TUP: A few active players but not enough compared to the huge membership count
PCP: Meh it's got some cool people in it but it's a bit crap
UKPP: Internal trouble, bribing noobs and awful congress lists
WRP: A quiet lot, can't say I know much.
UKRP: All the eUK's most active and competent players in one spot. Can easily claim it has the most active party feed as well. Least serious top 5 party, if you take politics with maximum seriousness you can feck orf
Honestly though I'd take wayne's advice, join em all for a bit and then decide after which one's the best one.
A fella called Voodoomike has been touring the country's parties and writing articles about each one, if you look him up and find those articles they'll at least tell you how active each party is (he's currently in UKRP so there's a few in the top 5 he hasn't wrote about yet)
lol UKRP tell me some things of note UKRP have done over the last 2 years?
Over the last two years? I don't think I've even been in it for a year.
What has the party you're in done that's noteworthy since its founding?
in the last year then? don't try and answer a question with a question I'm not promoting anythiing you are trying to promote UKRP so I will ask again what have UKRP done over the last year of note, tell me about any laws you have put though, new ideas you have what have UKRP done of note in the last year? thanks
A single party doesn't put through laws, individual congressmen and then congress put them through. A party doesn't do much, it's more just individual congressmen and the CP.
What UKRP has done is made sure to run the most competent people they can for all of those roles, nothing more.
UKRP is definitely the least serious party, it's full of comedians!
8/10 Rob, I love reading your satire o7
did you see they mailed all UPP member look Tinman left
I've been in UK Reform for the last 5 years but if I was just starting on the game I'd have a look at all of them before making my decision :3.
Was in UKPP now because of a invite am in UKRP.
BTW Have sent friend request
I'm going to give UKRP a go first and see what happens.
Thank you everyone for the friend requests and messages of support.
There are a number of good parties here - and one or two I'd avoid, but that's another matter! I have been in TUP since I joined eRep a couple years back. We may not be the most "fun" party. If you just want a giggle, TUP is not for you. If you want the opportunity to learn more about the various aspects of the game, have the opportunity to be involved in discussions on government policies as well as TUP management, have the opportunity to serve in a range of positions, then TUP is the right party for you. We're middle-of-the-road, we do actually take the game seriously in that our priority is helping the eUK become strong again, and we have a policy of not trolling. That last part may sound strange to you, but believe me, with some of the characters in this game, it's important. There are far too many trolls as it is. We are a pro-UK, pro-democracy, pro-development, anti-troll party. And we still manage to have fun!
Come give us a try. If we're not the right party for you, no hard feelings, we'll understand.
And meanwhile, whatever decision you make, sign up for the NHS and consider enrolling in eBrit University, the mentorship programme for new players.
NHS?
National Health Service. We provide food to players up to level 32, based on their growth. Somewhere around here you'll find the logo for it, click on it and it'll provide a form to sign up.
All food is donated by generous members of the eUK,, as we all want to see our newer citizens grow and thrive.
I would personally recommend a nap.
