What is eRepublik

eRepublik is a browserbased MMOG which has been founded in 2007 and, by this time, is one of the biggest of its kind.

With currently 74 countries and overall 670 regions there is a variety of areas, in which the player can settle. Use the wide politics system, join a party, fight until you become the president of your country or start a military coup and rule as a dictator.

Defend your nation together with other players against attacking countries or start a resistance war to free yourself - everything built on a pure player driven economy!

THE DIFFERENT MODULES

eRepublik offers three enormous modules, on which the game is built on. Be a member of a party, start a career in politics, join a military unit and become a successful commander or use your economic understandings and build a business empire!



General facts about politics
In general it is always useful to join the politics! You get an insight into the happenings within your country and, of course, you are faced with different problems which you need to solve.

There is the possibility to join a party or found one on your own and give it the direction it will go.

You decide about the direction your country goes to, by voting on laws which are for example about taxes and alliances. Also there is a higher chance to get in touch with the community, which should make it easier for you to get started within the game and, on the other hand, to get supported in the long run. Last but not least politics offer the possibility to become a minister or even the president of a country in future, which is the highest position in a country, a player can reach.

Influence of democracy and dictatorship
Within the democracy the congress debates and votes about laws, whereas a dictator decides on that during a dictatorship.

Even though you may take a critical look at it, many countries support the so called "meta gaming" whereby there aren't any practical disadvantages. As already mentioned before, the community is in focus, which means that politics is worth it in every case!

General facts about the congress
Congress is the main legislative body of a country. It is the place where elected congress members decide about the political, economical and military future of a country.

As a congress member you have got the possibility to propose laws, debate and vote about them, and also to decide about specific immigration requests of citizens from foreign nations.

How do you join the congress
First of all: You need to be a member of a party!

On 25th of a month there are the congressial election days, that means you should run for congress a week before the election. Your party president has the possiblity to manage the position of the members on the voting list a day before the election is going to happen. In case your party receives enough votes, you will join the congress and get access to several parts of the country administration.

Attention: Run for congress from core regions of your country (regions that won't be attacked / lost before the election day). In case your country loses this region before the election, you will be removed from the election list!



Which influence does the congress have
Just like the president, congress members are able to propose laws, which will be accepted or denied during votes. Important fact: Every congress member can only propose two laws during his legislature. In case you are able to join the congress, always think about your proposed laws and decisions!

The president is the elected leader of a nation. In general he decides the direction a country goes and enforces his power by proposing laws.

Furthermore he is able to setup a cabinet with the help of several minister positions about economics, defense and community work.

What is he able to do
The president can involve himself into the social, military and economical happening within his country. We show you the most important facts in the following list:

Set a new welcome messages to new players
Propose alliances but also trade embargoes
Propose war and peace
Set a natural enemy
Start an airstrike against another country


The president is not almighty
Because: He can also loose his power!

In case the congress is not satisfied with the job the president is doing, they can start an impeachement.

That way it is important, that the president always makes decisions which will help his country and he also represents his nation in a meaningful way.
