Chapter 3

Welcome to chapter three of the Tony Benn Diaries and we have our first interview with the current Speaker and King of the eUK Mr Woldy. And as always a look at congress this week.

Who are you? Just boast about yourself for a bit
I am Mr Woldy, King of the eUK and it's disputed regions (ie the World), multiple time minister of almost everything, mega-great President (invaded 'Merica, Belgium, Ireland like everywhere rly) former SG of a super-Alliance, eVisionary and mostly just a nice guy. I hate boasting.

What made you apply or the position of the speaker?
Well I released my article 'ideal government', a plan which I had been sitting on for months and wanted to be around to see it was instigated properly - I also have a real zeal and am one of the few eUK'ers who believes Congress should take back degrees of control and competence which over the past year or so have been missing.

What are your opinions of the current congress members we have?
So far those who speak seem alright, but it's finding people willing to throw themselves at the task that's the trouble.

Recently in your survey we saw Congress members wanting to do more work, is there enough room for congress members to do more, and what can congress members do more?
There is enough room, certainly, there's always space in domestics/education and I believe that getting them into ministries, which I have made my own personal goal will raise their level of competence and confidence when it comes to dealing with issues of state.

Do you think Party Presidents should brief congress candidates more, to stop silly proposals, and how will you go about trying to change the atmosphere?
I do, but I also feel that under the new voting systems party presidents need to put more pressure on their congressmen to be active and play a good role rather than sit about doing nothing.

Any more sexy ideas or changes that you have for congress lined up?
Well we'll have to wait and see, I think we ought to reintroduce a few pieces of legislation to keep on the good work I'm doing here!

Would you like to mention anything else? Ie Wayne Kerr to get a vote or anything else you want to shamelessly advertise?
Wayne4Pres, Chazbeard4Pres, Horice4Pope Quayle's eggs are nice, Woldy rulez, etc

Natural Enemy
Proposed by BigAnt, 5 days ago
France has been proposed as Natural Enemy. Rejected 20-19

Controversial I voted no because I for one am not scared of France attacking us because they have a treaty not to and Poland/ Serbia are a deterrent fir France not to attack. Very high voting rate and great turn out.

New Citizen Message
Proposed by Blue And Evil, 5 days ago

Cheers, the Country President '

I voted Yes because it is much better than the old one and provides useful information for new players. Turn out decreased which is a shame and I have no idea why people voted against it.

VAT & Import Taxes: Weapons
Proposed by Robalbinio, 4 days ago
Lower VAT to 5% from 15% and lower import tax from 60% to 10%.Approved 24-12

This was discussed that we should experiment and losses would be refunded to us and that experimenting with taxes could create increased revenue. So I voted yes good turnout but could do better.

Minimum Wage
Proposed by Gareth.4686, 4 days ago
Minimum wage change from 0.5 GBP to 0.75 GBP. Rejected 11- 27

I voted No it wasn't discussed and has no point, increasing it means that Military units won't be able to pay people in these schemes as well.

Income Tax
Proposed by Sir Rex Fleddington, 4 days ago
Income tax change from 5% to 11%. Rejected 7-31

I voted no there is no need to change the tax rate, lack of discussion surrounding this topic and I couldn't see any need for it. Again we are seeing fairly high and consistent voter turn out.

Natural Enemy
Proposed by Talon Karrde, 2 days ago
Ireland has been proposed as Natural Enemy. Approved 29-7

War we all want those True patriot medals and a more exciting game play an obvious Yes. Slight dip in voter turn out and quite a lot against which I found confusing.

Once again sorry for New Era dividers in this non New era article but I need dividers and I can’t do graphics if anyone wants to help me out with some that would be really kind of you.

So get your ass into gear people bit of charity for the Messiah any border dividers I get i will send our a Holy Gourd to that person.
