Hi all, it's been a few days since I did a newspaper but I have not been idle. I have been travelling around the world fighting as a mercenary for mostly the underpopulated, underpriveleged victim countries like Australia. I prefer to be a resistance fighter and participate in as many resistance wars, I have become an eSpartacus
That isn't really spartacus, but an AUSTRALIAN actor playing the greatest resistance fighter in history. The real Spartacus has always inspired me, here was a MAN, here was a man who risked everything but had nothing to lose, a man who stuck up for all the dispossessed people of Italy, Gaul, Iberia, Greece and many other countries, INCLUDING poor Romans, many of them ex-legionarries, like Spartacus himself who is most likely a Roman born member of lesser knights but somehow got in trouble. Trouble back then in a Legionnare Camp could mean being hauled off to slavery.
There are many good reasons to suggest he was not born in Thrace or being an actual Thracian. Firstly, the term Thracian also meant one of the three main types of Gladiator. Another reason is the simple fact that Spartacus knew intimately the Roman way of fighting and displayed great generalship. He was so good at Roman tactics that he thrashed the pants off many Roman commanders. HERE IS WHAT a GENERAL looks like.

Actually here's a great Australian general, our only true genuine military genius, known as the father of modern mechanized warfare and the best general of WWI ( yeah, I know, he had no competition did he. )
What has General John Monash have to do with Spartacus ?. Strewth, fair dinkum I have no idea but hell, I just felt like mentioning our greatest military figure, maybe he can inspire an eComeback.
Anyway, back to the article...... I am Greg L. or if you prefer, eSpartacus, the battler who wants to serve those countries fighting resistance wars, I am finding it very expensive jumping around and I will soon run out of currency and other vitals. I offer my services to the badly treated nations so if anyone wants me there send me enough to cover the migrating cost and I will do my best. I of course am always loyal to Australia and its allies and will also travel to support our allies.
Here is what I believe Spartacus looked like, for some reason I have always imagined Spartacus the great looks exactly like this.....

I intend to get a Mercenary Award as soon as I can for the gold I need but will fight for almost any country, only those I see as enemies who can't be reasoned with nor trusted, THOSE COUNTRIES I INTEND TO HIT as often as resources allow, they will always have my full focus, two nations I know in eRepublik who are just as imperialistic as The evil Romans who the great hero Spoartacus fought against. Spartacus knew what to do with thugs and tyrants..............
Don't mess with eSpartacus or the little guys like my dear beloved Australia and South Africa, Cyprus or Malaysia or our MPP friends or I will make Chile sauce and IndoCurry out of you, and that's FAIR DINKUM.

That last picture is the most awesomely badass thing i've ever seen
the whole series was badass, especially the last series, best miniseries ever, EVER. It was better than their movie 300 and that really is saying something. Just remember, they were all badass in the B.C. days.
Hmm, I only ever saw the first few episodes, might have to give it another go
The actor in the first series died from cancer, they made a small stop gap series, then with the Aussie actor they did the proper second series covering the slave armies growth and victories over Rome, that last series was amazing, brilliant.
First Spartacus was an aussie too Greg. Its one of the best shows on TV, just make sure you do a little research and watch it in the correct order.
Oh I saw them all in order from day one I loved it. The real Spartacus is a big favorite of mine and have studied all thats available on him.

I would expect that %100 of readers of article would realise that is actually a dummy and not a mans face cut off.. the real thing is actually a lot more gruesome than that.

Mate I have no idea of the modern rl problems with that country or people and what the political situation is. Tbh, I do feel somewhat offended by my countries name being used by a game and that name gets dragged through the mud by many Chileans... I get told, "hey, it's just a game, don't mean nuthin". BUT they do use the name Australia, it can be a touchy subject with any eNation.

I have fought for 17 so far, I have 33 to go, AND I have to try and do that without fighting for very many CoT countries, Two countries that I simply REFUSE to fight for (5 gold just not worth the shame and the treason) are of course, Indo and Chile... for those two I will always fight, they offend me.

I really hope that this answer is from a young person, who just didn't had the opportunity to learn RL historical facts and RL political situation which occur in Balkans.

But I care and I will FIGHT for this Name, here in eRep and in Real Life .
Even in this game, if someone try to use your nickname, he will receive a notice, that this "name" is already used !!!
I ask, polite I think, if it is able to use the whole in-game name, or the international name af that country, thats all.
It is done now, but I am offended that you think I am a kid, my knowledge of the ancient history of Macedon is good, also there are many small countries in eastern europe where change is constant. I will not apologise for not knowing all about the current situation, Australian media (rl) very very rarely ever mentions it, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbis and Kosovo did and do make the news more regularly so your fight is with the rl media in Australia. I like Greeks and Macedonians btw.

I can now add Sweden to my list, I feel for the Swedes, poor people are in a similar situation to us, perhaps we can make a close friendship with them. To Sweden, I am sorry I am not strong enough atm to have made enough difference to help win the Div2 battle I fought. ............
