The news is there is no news.

Day 1,290, 02:46 Published in Australia Australia by NewtonSG

The news has been relatively bare. Although still showing signs of life, the eAustralian media just ain't what it used to be. I don't believe that the media's dry spell was induced by the game devs, the "Admin dun nerfed the media n' now I'z gotta click a few more times..." excuse just doesn't cut it anymore. The main problem regarding media is staring us in the face from across the street(kinda creepy like)...

People are getting used to erep.

Yep you heard me ("I didn't 'hear' it I re..." Shut up)

News is no longer news and has become 'Common knowledge'. If you don't think thats true, you must of been that one person who was shocked when the last 'We are at war with indo' article appeared.

We are used to constant warfare.
We are used to in-fighting.
We are used to Admin being Admin.

The Media is now dominated by newer players since erep is new for them (duh) but that isn't bad, its good actually. Its the lack of old players which is getting to us.

We need to start writing articles to bring back the spice to eRepublik. We need to make erep fun, bring in more players and expand the interest in the media module of erepublik back to it's former glory (its kinda like going back to go to the future!)

Remember the good old times? when Dart would post comics regularly, the news would be flooded with candidate presentations from all elections, and parties would endlessly slander each other. Crowded House would occasionally make border-line troll articles before Discrate out trolled him. Heck, I even remember a time when Paul Hamon made articles regularly.

The media made us the eRepublikans we are and now and we need to give new players the same experience.

So what's stopping us from having a bustling media?

Nothing. Nothing at all.

Erepublik is what we make of it. We could all be anti-social and be 2 clickers (that term really needs to change) and do nothing, we always could have. But instead of 3-50 clicking, we could get off our collective arses and write something!

What do we write you ask?
I'll give you a subtle hint: FIND SOMETHING. I just wrote an article about there being no articles, just think what you could do!
