This is the article I don’t want to write. Really. Still felt like I should.
At this stage of the day, it’s fairly obvious that I will not be your CP for February. I want to offer my congratulations to Derphoof publicly. Thanks for running a clean campaign, and not letting it get personal. Thanks for being approachable, to talk to about anything in particular.
Good luck this month, although I hope you don’t need it.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the people that have supported me the past week and a half. In particular, the players who agreed to serve in my cabinet (had I won), who mostly had good advice at various points. A special thanks is also due to the parties who supported my efforts: The OFU, The Black Sheep Party and the irrepressible folk at SFP. Thanks for caring enough to come out and play.
Last but not least, thank you to the 130-odd people that voted for me. It's a heart warming show of faith.
