Spotlight on the Women of eAustralia Episode 2

Day 560, 01:45 Published in Australia Australia by Edwina P. Montague III

As promised, here is the second edition of my series featuring influential eWomen of eRepublik. I do hope you enjoy.

Cerridwen Voeland - Defender of the Country, Business Woman, Philanthropist

1) At what moment of your eRepublik experience did you realise that this was the "game" for you?

It would have to be when I saw higher level citizens giving away the occasional low q food on irc and the forums I thought eAustralia could use an org and company set up to give other new players the support I had. I'm a sucker for helping people, so I was hooked 😉 The support and thank-yous are a great way to start any eday 🙂

2) What would you consider to be your greatest contribution to eAustralia so far?

That would probably be my time with ausEaid, (I didn't really do that much damage in the QLD RW's 😛 )

3) Who have your mentors been? Have you taken anyone under your wing?

I have had help and support from a lot of people. Two special mentions though -When I first started playing this game I was a two clicker - Juan Tamad (since disappeared), my GM at the time would message me every couple of days and finally convinced me to join the forums and venture out into the eWorld, CheeseBall also deserves a special mention always offering support whatever my goals. I guess I have taken people under my wing, I hadn't really thought about it like that 🙂 I share my knowledge, experiences and gold (lol, if i've got any) with those who ask, but don't we all?

4) What do you think are the 3 most important things a new citizen to eAustralia should know?

1. This is a 'social networking' game – I know it says so on thefront of the box but if you don't get out there and meet people, ask questions you will have a very lonely elife. We aren't scarywe were new citizens once too

2. Do take the time to read the news -and comments, at first it willmake no sense but after a while you'll get the hang of it. If youdon't understand something pm the author (comment or news) Ihaven't met a citizen who isn't happy to explain their POV

3. Patience! You don't get everything at once for a good reason. Geton the forums or IRC and make informed choices – learn about yourcountry before you strive to make your mark, you may be pleasantlysurprised

5. Who do you see your role being in the future of this eCountry?

I would like to see ausEaid continue to expand – anyone interestedin helping is always welcome 🙂 and I will continue workingclosely with MoSS and MoC to encourage citizens to be active andmake the most of their erepublik experience. I think it isimportant to welcome and support citizens for eAustralia, and thatis where I see my future.
