Political Discussion
Dethicon
I know I'm New to Erepublik but I'm not an idiot I've been trying to learn as best I can and I see America is closing in on becoming an empire but it has a long way to go so America so I'd like to open a (polite and friendly) Debate on the pros and cons of expansionism without angering allies by attacking their allies or stepping on their Ambitions

Here are some pros and cons, but this is not a good place to discuss tactics:
One potential benefit is the neodymium magnets that we need.
There's the potential excitement that we' all been craving, as well.
One of the cons of expansion is the number of regions eUS starts with. It leaves a lot of flanks.
Another problem is that some of the elitists don't trust congress. They want fewer people to serve in congress and I've heard talk of scuttling regions, in order to trim congress. (It wouldn't be the first time eUS has used the tactic.)
You must first convince Congress to leave its safe little cocoon. However, if you get elected to Congress and try to suggest that. They will instantly censor you for thinking outside the prescribed conformity of the 'Congressional Majority'.
With the coming -maybe- of regional elections it would very unwise to expand.
Please list the number of times congressmen were instantly censored for an opinion. And I mean actually censored, not a proposal.
Me....I have been censored for my opinions.
Please take note Mr. Stone is a 23 term Congress member and ran in the most recent election, only failing entry due to his low position on his party's ticket.
Mr. Cincinnati is a current Congressman serving his 9th term and long time political commentator.
They are the same Congress they speak of.
Rainy Sunday is a 47 term Congress Member who stands with the 'Congressional Majority'.
What she fails to point out is that I stood and still stand against a government with millions of dollars in reserve stashed away in private citizen accounts and wants $400,000 more every few days but refuses to account for any of it.
Your refusal to read is not a failure to account for.
