The question isn't directed at me, HOWEVER if you read the threads at the time, the complainant was advised to refer the matter to the Inspector-General... This isn't the Inspector-General's office last time I checked.

cant remember exactly what i wrote, something along the lines of not really mudslinging, as its presenting facts... talk to IG... questionable timing etc etc. Yes this needs an answer, but that answer could have been gotten earlier than now, and in a less accusatory way. yes there is proof, but its up to the IG to determine if a law was broken.

Nothing wrong with bringing it up in the media... there is such a thing as the public interest.

@Yendor : never said there was anything wrong with bringing it up in the media, we all have a right to know the truth. I'm just wondering why larni chose to go to the media over going to the IG thats all. Allowing a neutral party to investigate will get the facts, one side attacking the other just smells of a cheap shot right before the CP elections.

The answer is obvious Brenflakes. Why now? Sir C is running for CP. Do we not have a right to know about things like this?

As it is he has a time to respond. If I had waited a few days and posted it just before the election he would not have the 'right of reply' as he does now and I don't think that would be fair on him at all. This way he has time to prepare an article of response and is aware that people will be waiting for one.

With regards to the IG, I have little faith in that system though the IG is free to take the topic up and investigate it I do not think there is need to burden his office when the evidence is already there. All we really need is for Sir C to step forth and explain.

Hiding things in the dark corners of the parliament threads means that a lot of people would never had been aware this thread even existed. If someone decides to run for CP then they need to be upfront and honest.

I take your point Brenflakes BUT there it is just political spin to attack the person who publishes the story. Refer to Larni for a more detailed response!

the fact of the matter is, larni, as a journalist, have every right to publish this article with this content. Is she biased? sure, but you can't blame her for bringing an issue that deserves the public's knowledge to the public

Totally agree with your comment patti. On the same token, the actual issue deserves to have the entire story in the open, which is my point. People shouldnt make there mind up one way or the other about the issue without knowing all the facts.

totally agree Brenflakes, but that is another question, on Larni's journalistic capabilities and who the reader trusts to get their information on. Still, we need more journalist's in this country who actually right analysis pieces on the country, not just retelling

In all fairness to Larni i don't recall seeing a response from sir c on this topic when it was in front of the senate. Why not post and yes i purchased the company as it a good fit for my plans on ...... etc. The IG is welcome to contact me for any concerns over process.
