Opinions about Decisions

Day 1,581, 20:13 Published in Canada Canada by Derakor

So I came across a article by the 'beloved' SaraDroz, and felt the need to have a say. For those of us who have the same 'voice' as mine, or one similar.

I start by quoting our Great Crusader:

"I think most will agree that eCanada is in state of political 'crisis', or from it's Greek source (krisis) a time of decision."

I must concur, that eCanada's political situation is dire, and is in a state of crisis, which means it's a time to make decisions. Decisions, which must be made with caution, and weighted by the people of eCanada.

The EPC:

This said, moving to another nation, and fighting AGAINST eCanada, I must say, is not the best decision. In my eyes that is. But at least it's a decision, even if it is unpopular, or even seen as an act of 'terrorism' by some.

A policy of attacking eCanada, to help eCanada is really more counter-productive, then staying and attempting to counter the actions of 1 man. Not only is it affecting eCanadians, the CAF, and the Government of eCanada, it is also being felt by our Allies abroad. The fact is that the people who should be felt negatively the actions of ANY eCanadians, should be eCanada's Enemies, not her friends and citizens. I sympathize with our former members, but I cannot see the logic, or the benefit of seeing eCanada and her allies suffer, over a Political matter.

This 'civil war' as it is called, has done more harm for all, then good for all. Including the 'Exiles Partiots'. Since their actions have been subject to more scrutiny by the people they are suppose to be helping, then positive action. I quote Addy Lawrence:

"We aim to do this by raising the cost of indifference so that people do something about it rather than accept it and do nothing."

Raising the 'cost of indifference'? What more cost can there be, then the destruction of eCanada's community and freedoms, by the PTOing of parties that stand against the one. Also 'so that poeple do something about it rather than accept it and do nothing'? This is insulting at best, for those of us attempting to do something. It also puts into question just what the Ex-Patriots think of those of us who stay.

Bunker Smunker:

But I'll move on, from this issue, and talk about SaraDroz's second thing she decided to talk about... The 'Bunker Mentality' as she called it.

I'm sorry SaraDroz, this is not meant to be overly offensive, but I'm more then positive that people knew Acacia was kidding on his article regarding the Bunker. Mostly because, it's just way too out there for people. Obviously Acacia wouldn't go to a 'Bunker', since it's too much RP for nothing.

Now, if Acacia wants to act like a madman, over eCanada's issues and his stress over eCanada's issues, that's his discretion, but don't take all his words as truth, or seriousness.

Regarding Policies, for someone who truly doesn't wish to run for CP, you've really gone against that and posted a number of Policies. Either you run or you don't, don't raise the hopes of people who want to see you run, simply to lead a 'cause' that you don't truly wish to lead.

Derakor's Policies:

Though you have put it my mind to make a list of Policies I would like to see come into effect, since you're doing it, I might as well too.

A. A Nation of Unity: The countries national unity should not be limited to just the Government, but include all her citizens as well. If we are going to re-invite the Ex-Pats and Acacia back, then we better make sure all of eCanada's citizens are United both bethind this decision, and behind a United eCanada, through her political differences.

B. The Government Apprenticeship Program: This is a really good idea, however it this will not be effective to all new citizens, since a limitation would need to be put into effect to limit the load on those apprenticing. Other Apprenticeship Programs should be made by Political Parties who should make their own 'Shadow Cabinets' in order to provide a broader apprenticeship program.

C. The Pardon: I think that this Pardon is illegal, since it was conducted through corrupted means, whether physically or mentally, by members of the community. Also, I'm not sure Rolo cares either way, so long as he's allowed to stay on the forums. Also I think once a new congress is put into effect, a new discussion and vote on the issue should be implemented, where the decision Binding for 6 months, or until the subject is brought back up again.

D. Taxation: I believe entirely in Higher taxes on all Imports. Either we get more money on the things coming in, or we turn them away, it's just that simple. eCanada needs to focus on her own people, and her own businesses. The Government should be thinking of eCanada's interest, globally and nationally, first.

E. Foreign Policy: It's simple, keep eCanada safe, strong, and maintain good relations with her allies, while helping them out in times of need. Region swapping should only be implemented so long as eCanada is swapping it's eUK regions for eUSA regions. We need to maintain a strong sovereign front, and giving away our core regions is simply betraying that front. If the other nations want to swap their core regions, so be it, eCanada is eCanada, and it should not be bartered with lightly.

F. Accountability: It's simple, we need a stronger Supreme Court, Speaker of Congress, and Cabinet, in order to reset the standards for such accountability and Government Sanity. Actions seen as corrupt should be dealt with immediately, swiftly, and justly. The Government, through the Speaker of Congress, or their Deputy, should keep the eCanadian Citizenship well informed about important discussions being discussed in Congress.

The Government needs to employ new Strategies and new Offices in order to properly effect such suggestions. This new organization of the Executive Body will also help to set a Standard, and refresh eCanada into a new era.

Now, we need to think positively, stay strong, Unite together, and work for a better eCanada. It's just that simple.

I am for you, the True, North, Strong, and Free. Let's do this together.

Sincerely,

Derakor
