New changes in medals

Hello erepublikans
Today Plato announced some new changes in medals. I will quote you his words.
“Medal changes
Starting Day 2,610 (12th of January), Freedom Fighter, Mercenary and True Patriot medals will award you 1,000 Currency (instead of the current value of 5 Gold).
Based on our studies, these medals didn’t reach their initial goal: to help the progress of the new players. More than this, they had a negative impact on the economic balance of the game, and with this change we aim to solve some of these issues.
We wanted to make this announcement early, so everyone will have plenty of time to prepare for this change, if needed. “
More or less that what he is telling us is that we will not get more gold from erepublik medals. He will give 1000cc for every medal that’s 20% of the gold that we used to take with today’s prices people estimate that by the time that this new feature will be installed it will be 10%.
It is the first time that medals are becoming useless. Freedom fighter for example will have no point because in order to take lets say the 7/75 you will have to spend a small fortune in tickets weapons and food. Same will happen with mercenary. Those who fight mostly for true patriot medal will also loose.
I am wondering what did they think when they wrote “Based on our studies” since we had no survey and at least half of them don’t even know how to play erepublik. It would be way much better to say that people don’t buy gold anymore and we want some money. In the end been honest is the best thing you can do especially when there are so few players left.
The only good thing is that people will have to be more team players since true patriot wont pay they will fight for other countries also.
Last but not least erepublik said “2015 is approaching fast” I have to say that yes for us is approaching fast but I am not so sure about you.

in search of a similar but substainable game we go...

Someone complained about the low price of gold. Taking gold of the market and putting CC will increase the cost of gold. This will not help young payers, but only old ones. Young players are in need of gold for upgrades and old players are in need of CC to buy weapons and food to fight more.
I think Plato realize that new players are not coming any more in this game and is trying to keep the old ones. All I can say is: I wish I had a Q7 weapon factory because it will be harder for me to have one from now.
Not sure if it has much to do with complaints.
I think it has to do with Plato losing money.
Remember, plato doesn't change the game because of complaints, he changes it when he loses money.

Gosh, my wife will quit the game. The only fun she had was to make that ridiculous amount of gold from those medals to and I guess she was not alone.
Plato's studies are as smart as Plato itself.
To make it even more ridiculous why he's not awarding bazooka or gorilla's parts instead? 🙂
I think that "based on studies" he will also award battle hero with 10 Q1 weapons to help new players 😛
I never cared abou Freedom or Mercenary.
But True Patriot was a really nice reward at 5 Gold.
I swear I was thinking about this a few days ago. I was thinking what's gonna happen when people are going to reach 100 million damage quick. The True Patriot becomes a huge leak for Plato, so he takes care of it now. I suppose Gold will go up a bit.

it is just that now you will receive 1000 cc which can be converted in 5 gold at the market ... in about 1-2 years the difference will be seen because gold price will rise a bit from 1 gold = 200 cc now to about 1 gold = 300-320 cc
There is no need to wait one year, today 1 gold = 240 cc 😛
it is just the panic that the prices will rise ... everyone buy and will continue to buy for about a week or so and when they will see that there is not that of a big change , everything will go back to normal
Those are the "non-competitive" medals, all you have to do is... play. I wonder when they will think working for 30 days isn't thrilling enough 😉)

this idiotic crapy new update basically means "GAME OVER" for players like me...
I don't have any chance now to be able to upgrade my training grounds or companies...
I'll probably quit the game very soon...

this is market at this exact moment...I can guarantee you by tomorrow it will be a lot more expensive...not to mention from the day the update will be implemented...
now you do the math and tell how much gold you can buy with 1000 cc at this moment...and we'll talk in a month...

it will grow a little but not that much ,... i asume that in 30 days market price will be about 300-350 cc / gold because of the panic (everyone buy gold now) ... after that the things will settle and will start to get back to normal . About how profitable it is ? well , is the same ... even when the gold was 1 gold = 3600 cc , the price for products was the same so you will earn the same money in products from this medals
we'll see...but I beg to differ...

that's a bit of an exageration,but as sure as hell 1000cc is not 5gold...not in this market...and not in any near future...
and this change may not affect you (maybe even help you if you're the kind of player that buyies gold with the credit card,because you can afford it) but I can't...and even if I could afford it I wouldn't do it...it's just simply not worth it...it became too much of a crapy game lately...

well i am here for almost as long as you are. Do you remember the market bot? Now put the cc of the medals in that place and remove the gold that you could get. You will take more cc but gold will be more expensive and prices will go high and no this time it wont turn back because less people buy gold and the gold on market will also be less.

What about currency variation? I remember once you could find 1 gold with 3000cc... They are greedy and stupid..this game is going straight dead...
