Math is universal, why the current military system is unfair

There are a lots of players says that the developer team should limit the possible number of the wellness packs per day, per battle, per damage etc. They are also arguing about the spendings and fights of the heavy tanks. There are only a few thinking on the possible scenarios after the limitation the wellness pack.
The ordinary eRepublik citizen says : 'Hell Plato I'm a customer here, you should listen when I say something, and you should change the game in the way I would like to push it.' (s)he also says that 'The game's current state is unfair, beacause a citizen with big enough credit card can do tenth of millions of damage, and they can decide battles.'

Well, let's see if it is truly unfair, and for which side.


I'm Romper, it's 12.28 2010, I'm still sweat after the Christmas fest of the past days. I have 2839 strenght points in the eRepublik, not too many, compared to Marco Polo's 4265, but I'm a World Class Force, and I'm the biggest damage dealer and spender in the whole game so I'll soon leave the ordinary tanks. I have a decent damage of 1911.

The eWorld TOP countries making an avarage of 6-16 millions. My countries biggest enemy Serbia has a daily avarage of 16 millions. I just checked that an avarage army member of Hungary can make 400 damage/hit and he is capable of doing 12000 damage daily, if (s)he consume all of his 300 HP.

This day I made 700.000 damage,nearly a tenth of the whole Hungarian damage. For this I needed 366 hits, 183 golds.


In the months of early 2011 the developers making player favourable changes like the 10 g donation limit, which is making impossible for the heavy tanks to buy high ammounts of black market gold instead of official eRepublik gold. Besides of this every single citizen can work in his/her own companies so (s)he can earn much more money, and can achive higher fight numbers.



Hy, it's Romper here, it's March 19th. The eWorld overall damage is 321 millions, Serbia alone has more than 40 millions, I just reached 4400 strenght, and 2928 damage/hit. Somehow it is becoming harder and harder to push the walls really forcefully, anyway It's a bit cold out there so I've decided to make some damage today. I spent golds 220 golds to make 1,4 million damage.

March 26th Serbia's damage just popped to 60 millions, and Hungary can make 30 millions a day. My damage increased to 3061, but it is not a big change compared to the damage increases of the countries. As I saw the avarage damage of an army member is around 1500 damage. So with this new 500 HP mission, they can make 75.000 damage a day, and without it they are only making 45.000.


The developer team reform the food consumption system, so the players can eat 2400 HP a day. The eWorld's balance is no more. At a point ONE and her allies holding 85% of the whole eWorld under occupation. The citizen and country damages increasing nearly 3 times.


I'm just back from my holiday, it is August 13th. I'm watching aVie's eGov4you from time to time and I just recognized that how immensely the country's damage increased during the summer. The daily 2400 HP made a kick, I just recognized how little the avarage tank worth. For exampleI have 7496 strenght points, and I became the first God of War in May, I have 5290 damage / hit. In the meantime Serbia's damage reached the 450 millions, so - compared to the last stance I checked - their damage worth 11 times more than in March. With 2400 HP I have more than 1,1 millions of damage. An avarage BSD soldier is making more than 2000 damage/hit which is not bad, since they can make nearly 500.000 damage a day.



Another month, another change. For completing the MU orders you can earn a bazooka and an energy bar. Every single eRepublik military unit member can make at least 30.000 damage more.





September came and the developers made another player favouring change. Every single military unit member can earn a bazooka and an energy bar if they kill 25 enemies in the MU's battle. Now every citizen can make decently high damage with a few weeks of saving. I just checked that Serbia's damage increased with 70 million, from 572 to 642 millions.

My stats are increasing decently too. I have 6236 damage per hit, so I can do nearly 1,5 millions a day only with my food fights.


In the meantime I became an eRepublik Elite Citizen for completing a special mission above level 100. As a reward I got a badge on my profile and +10% damage for every single hit.



Only two citizens have the Elite Citizen badge, the two biggest spenders of the game : Romper and Argrob. For months the game changed to favour the masses. There were two really tank friendly change since december : the Elite Citizen Badge and the Loyalty Program.


I just made a calculation about the past 11 months of the eWorld. At the end of December I had 1911 damage / hit and Serbia's damage was 16 million, so only with my food fights I could make 66.000 damage 0,04% of their whole damage. And to balance the 10% of their damage I needed 418 golds.

As months passed I needed a bit more to do this. At the end of March the Serbs had 60 million damage, and I had 3061 damage/hit. If I would like to balance the 10% of their damage I would have to spend 980 golds. It's nearly twice as more as in December.

The biggest punch was when I checked the stats between the end of March and the middle of August. Serbia had 450 million damage, I had 5290 damage/hit. So if I would like to tank the 10% of their damage I would have to spend 4253 golds.

When the daily bazooka kicked in I had 6236, but Serbia had 642 millions! It means that if I would like to balance 10% of their damage ( 64,2 millions ) I would need to spend 5147 golds.

Now with the Elite Citizen status my situation is a bit more easier again. Well, I tought it will be easier. The Serbs have 863 million damages, but I have nearly 7500 damage / hit. I would have to spend 5753 golds to balance their damage's 10%.

As I did the maths I just recognized that while my damage became 390% more, Serbia's damage increased from 16 millions to 863 millions which is 5300%.




The summary of the article : It is okay that you are annoyed because Romper or Argrob just made 40 millions in a battle, it is okay that you hate that they can make it, because they have the money and the time. But before start to troll them think on that they got screwed harder than you. In the past 11 months your and my daily damage increased with nearly 50 times. And every single citizen in the eWorld has the same issue. Besides of this the spenders got the Elite citizen medal and the Loyalty program to earn gold cheaper.
The eRepublik Labs is a buisness oriented company, and they want to make profit. After the V2's recession they made a game to earn a lot. The designed the new military module to favour the heavy tanks, but under the hood they adjusted the balance that the really heavy tanks have to spend more and more to achieve the same pressure.
