Life in Kanto
Mahsa.Gh
I have taken up residence in Tokyo, Kanto. I would like to provide this article as a place for people to discuss what they have learned and seen in the new Residential Module.
When reviewing the individual bonuses it appears that housing is the item that affords residential bonuses to work. With all 5 types of houses running, I receive an increase on energy recovery of 12 units every six minutes.
Because I have a food company here in Kanto, I am able to also work as a manager when I am in residence. Nice food bonuses here
🙂
I am confused though by the city size variables. It appears that as a city gets larger, the benefits to its citizens decrease and taxes go up. Can someone explain this to me? Taxes should decrease in larger cities because of a larger tax base.
Please feel free to comment below.

Taxes increase because of cost of living xdxd
Hope to see you as next Major of Kanto o7
all best mate 🙂
Same city 🙂
Thanks for this!
I took up residence in Fortress Kyushu. WIll be happy to see the competition there for local elections 🙂
We should wait until they fix all the bugs. It could be that in the future, the rich will live in large cities with big bonuses, newcomers and poor homeless dudes will live in the countryside.
I choose to be the resident of the city where I have my holdings, simple as that. It will be interesting to see the political side of this new update.
yes cant wait for it ,, Plato should introduce a new medal "governator medal" and a medal for its cabinet
Do you have all of your holdings in one location?
I just have one holding, mostly low Q food/weapon and raw factories.
So I noticed that you can apply to be a resident of a city that is not in your e-country, which means that your citizenship is not restricting you were you can apply/take residency (like in real life xD). But what interest me, how will those foregin resident be implemented in the new city/residence political system? Will they be able to freely candidate for Mayors/City council, or there will be some restrictions regarding who can candidate for the Mayor.
Interestingly, there seems to be no way to change residency easily. And it seems by the wording that city governments will be able to accept or deny residency requests. It seems like it will be a bit tougher to PTO a region than it is to PTO the nation it's in. 😃
Also I think regions will play a large role in occupations, resistance wars, and revolutions in the future.
Nope you are wrong ,, many countries use this kind of politic to stop decreasing of population in small cities , villages or a low population areas like siberia , northern parts of canada , Alaska etc
Which part was wrong so that I can get it corrected? Thanks.
I think he means the taxes going up as city size grows bigger. To have lower tax rates in peripheral regions. It has the potential to attract some investors.
Local governments will be able to set tax rates and such in the future, the rates shown are just the defaults.
The current situation is disheartening for new players: if you want extra recovery, you need to settle, but then you need to afford the houses, so you need to be rich. To maintain the houses you need to make 50 gold a week (from medals). Are you up to get 10 BHs a week? No? Stay nomadic, poor and see rich people playing something entirely different than you...
