Interview With Alex Whalen And Addressing Some Concerns

Day 831, 21:13 Published in USA USA by Dodgercatcher

First off I'd like to finish a promise I made to Alexander Whalen I interviewed him and told him I'd feature him in my newspaper, here is that interview:

DC: Hello Alexander it's nice to talk to you.

Alex: Hey Dodger.

DC: So for those of us out there that don't know what you do would you care to explain what your duties are?

Alex: Well, I'm the current eUS ambassador to eThailand. I watch and give weekly reports on how eThailand is currently doing. 🙂

DC: How long have you been ambassador?

Alex: Hojeez. I am quite the forgetful person, so forgive me if I'm mistaken, but I believe I have been Ambassador since... eh... December, I think. Perhaps November. It's been fun, albeit confusing.

DC: That is very cool. Do you have any future aspirations here?

Alex: I've been pretty stagnant, as I am, and I admit, a gamehopper. I usually squeeze a month or two out of a game, then move on. But not for eRepublik. This game definitely has me hooked. But, alas, I am not nearly organized enough to go any further than I am now, at least for the moment. So, for now, I think I'll be staying here.

DC: Is there any other things you'd like to shoutout?

Alex: Well, I'd like to thank you and System101 (or was it 1010?) man. You people helped guide me through the state department. I'd probably not be where I am now if it were not for you guys. I'd also like to thank Robert Oakden, my former Deputy, for finally teaching me how to get organized. just look his newspaper, "The Oak", and the one he Co-Owns; "The Synergy Poll". I mean, that's college paper stuff 😛.

DC: Alright well thank... (gets cut off)

Alex: Oh, and you wouldn't by any chance want a cookie, would you? See this cookie? It's mine >.>

DC: No thanks I just had some lunch but you have fun with that. 🙂

I have received some feedback of my leaving the country (see: this article if you don't know what I'm talking about) and thought I would address some of those concerns brought up.

1. You Put Yourself Over The Good Of The Country!
No, in fact I did the opposite. I'll be the first to admit that more recently I hadn't been pulling my weight in any official position I had and therefore by leaving those places are better off without me and got to bring up younger more inspired people.

2. What About Your Newspaper?
I'll most likely keep publishing in the eUSA and writing about American happenings.

3. Will You Come Back?
Someday maybe when I have something to offer my country again.

4. Dats Not What I Want Answered!
Go ahead and ask me it through Pm then, or on irc...

Yours Truly,
