Important eUK Discussion
Sambo223
Hello Fellow Citizens,
Happy Spring Break Day!
I wondered if while all the spring break fun and games continue if the lovely people of the eUK were up for a disscussion.
Basically I was wondering:
What is the eUK?
What should be our goals? What should we measure our success on? Should it be the amount of damage we deal? The activity and variety in our political module? The economic strength of our players/country? The quality of our media? The retention of new players? High levels of eimmigration of current players? Or something entirely different?
Basically what should the eUK be doing? What is our identity that sets us apart from everyone else?
I'm just interested to know what everyone else thinks.
That's all. Enjoy the rest of your day.

No one's interested in the article then. They just want to endorse? Poor really
No the right time to start such a discussion. With the springbreak event going on everybody just wants to hit the fight button.
Should want all those things (the easy answer) the harder answer is basically that we should want a more vibrant community. That is what keeps people here whether they are old or new. And it comes from media and politics as much as/if not more than from fighting etc. I feel like that's pretty uncontroversial to say. New players will join up today, do some fighting, and wonder how they are ever supposed to compete and then leave the game. Media and epolitik gives other ways for people to contribute, other ways to have fun and ultimately helps them embed in a little group of epeople. No one is logging in for plato they're logging in for shared goals.
I would say player retention.
As per Woldy's answer we should strive to achieve all the things mentioned.
From personal experience it was the vibrant community and political scene in the eUK when I joined that hooked me. Aside from my shitty articles that in turn made me want to fight harder and set up supply chains blablabla back in the day. It is only the resurgence of TRS and the subsequent shot to the arm of the media that has reignited my love for the eUK. To me this is where our focus should be. Rebuilding a once glorious and communicative eSociety. Had I joined the game/eUK at any point over the past few years I doubt I'd have lasted beyond a day or two.
