Escribo este artículo para informar a todos aquellos a quienes aún no se los he comunicado que he decidido cambiar de ciudadanía por unos meses. Antes de que nadie especule nada quiero aclarar que no hay ninguna razón particular que motive este movimiento. Ha sido un año fantástico en el que he participado en once gobiernos consecutivos, y siento que es hora de emprender nuevos proyectos. Mi marcha no signifca que deje de estar comprometido con Cuba. Este mes seguiré siendo asesor del gobierno, y estaré dispuesto a participar en cualquier gobierno futuro que lo solicite. Asimismo, mantendré mis responsabilidades en la alianza -los miembros del HQ de la misma han sido informados de mi movimiento hace días-.

Así que me despido temporalmente de todos ustedes, remarcando que esto no es un adios, sino un hasta luego, y que todos saben que mi compromiso con el país no se borra porque cambie mi nacionalidad.

I write this article to inform all those who have not yet communicated that I have decided to change citizenship for a few months. Before anyone speculates anything I want to clarify that there is no particular reason that motivates this movement. It has been a fantastic year in which I have participated in eleven consecutive governments, and I feel it is time to start new projects. My departure does not mean that I am no longer committed to Cuba. This month I will continue to be a government advisor, and I will be willing to participate in any future government that requests it. Also, I will keep my responsibilities in the alliance - the members of the HQ have been informed of my movement days ago-.

So I say goodbye temporarily to all of you, noting that this is not a goodbye, but a see you later, and that everyone knows that my commitment to the country will not disappear because my nationality changes.
